Emerald City Coffee

I stopped in for the first time today and I was not disappointed! The chicken pesto sandwich was tasty, the coffee was delicious, and the overall vibe was great. On top of that, the staff treated me well. They also had lots of great art on the wall and board games to pass the time with a friend or a group. I think I found my new spot!

Average experience. They were out of a ton of things when we showed up, but the consolation was a decently tasty and reasonably priced breakfast taco. I like that the location has a front and back area, with the back being casual with more couch-like seating. Bathroom was filthy. Would rather go in a gas station or just not at all. I found it odd that we were given a one-hour closing notice. Haha. Seems like that should be a half hour and ten minute call, but I get it. Quirky and funky place. Decent enough beverages. May try again in the future, but with a ton of coffee shops to choose from, it won't be my top choice.

My favorite coffee in the area. Every barista and person at the counter is nice. It's my exact type of atmosphere. Very cute spot. Breakfast tacos were underwhelming.

Have been a customer at Emerald City since I've moved to the city 6 years ago, and to this day, it is still my #1 local coffee shop. They have a great selection of coffees, and the breakfast burritos are to die for. Plenty of seating to do work or study too.

Very comfortable old school coffee shop. They have a small library of books and a variety of board games. Really cool place and it's right off the Sheridan Redline stop. Convenient, tasty and quick service.

Always a great spot to study at (best local coffee shop WIFI in Chi town, besides Starbucks)!

Also, the coffee is superb, staff are welcoming, and vibe is pretty chill.

Tip: if you’re going there to study, most spots in the back don’t have an outlet (@EmeraldCityCoffee would be cool to add some there if you guys can)!

Great iced coffee, best cinnamon rolls around. Don't try them or you'll get hooked.

One of the best coffees in Chicagoland. Light roast, dark roast, quick fix. Doesn't matter. It's one of the few coffee places I consider driving to on my day off.

Great coffee, tasty bagel sandwiches, and a fun atmosphere for reading or catching up with a friend. Not super great for working because it’s a bit loud but a nice hangout spot.

Great coffee space with very reasonable prices. Not a wide selection of food, so I wouldn't go there for a full meal, but for coffee, it's ideal. The coffee drinks are always solid.
