Backlot Coffee

I want to have my birthday here, I want to work here, and I want other coffee shops to study here.
I have searched for an authentic cappuccino, as you would find in Italy, for months.
I have the feeling I’ve arrived. If today is the norm, and not an expectation, I could proudly recommend this business to anyone!

favorite coffee shop in irving park! can’t wait for them to have seating again one day. it’s such a chill place to hang and do work normally. all the drinks i’ve tried have been great. even got a box of coffee once and they really hooked it up with creamer and all that jazz. love them!

Really cute space, good selection of single origin coffees, Rose cardamom latte was delicious. Great spot!

Tasty drinks, great selection of breakfast pastries. Nowhere to sit but a good stopping place along the way. Staff is friendly and apparently you can take their used coffee grounds for compost altho I've never gone for it.

I'm a coffee lover. Coming from Portland OR, this place feels like home. The coffee is excellent, fresh, and they make a great latte. The place is small, but quite and have room to sit for a quick break. Location is perfect for driving Kennedy express way.

They sell their coffee beans too, we took some whole beans "Flying squirrel" home for our espresso machine and it was great!

Not much caffeine in the cold brew. Also weird and expensive prices. $14 for a 32oz cold brew and $5 for a 20oz. So buy 2, 20oz for 40oz total for $10 instead of $14 for only 32oz.
Also, the 20oz seemed super small. I would bet $100 i could fit 4 large cups into that 32oz bottle. I feel jipped. Not going here again. Don't trust it.

I had a great experience here. They do have a very friendly staff who didn't make me feel hurried or uncomfortable even though I was tired and cranky. I tried the rose cardamon coffee. I thought it had good flavor and the carrot cake muffin was very tasty. It tasted fresh and well made.
I really like this place and I am glad it is in my neighborhood. It has a very comfortable feeling to it. I look forward to going back and trying new stuff.

Coffee is hipster standard, so good. It was a bit hidden in a tiny parking lot. They do prioritize social distancing very seriously so there is no seating, but the barista are super nice and give great service!

This may be my new favorite spot! Bright and sunny location with adorable decor, friendly staff and delightful food and drink. Had a difficult time choosing from all the options but settled on a rose cardamom latte and a ham and swiss croissant. Everything was lovely. Quiet enough to get work done or chat with friends. Will be back soon!

Excellent coffee, friendly and fast. I visit a lot of coffee shops and Backlot is a near the top for flavor and vibe.
