The burgers and drinks here are some of the best in Chicago. The meat is tasty and cooked to perfection. I added bacon which was a great addition to it, very tasty. The fries were also fresh and crispy. One order is more than a cup full, definitely enough to share. Great staff and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

The Caesar salad and French 75 were delicious; the fries were my dream fries, and the burgers were pretty good. Maybe I was too hyped for this place but I wasn't falling over. That said, the ambiance and service were spectacular, and sitting at the bar was great because you can watch it all go down on the line.

If this isn't the best burger around, it has to be close. I always enjoy this burger - two or three thin patties, topped with bacon, an egg, and some of their special sauce. It's juicy, incredibly flavored, and a pleasure to eat. Their carmelized bacon is some of the best I've had. Top it off with their fries and it's a fantastic and filling meal - worth the wait!

Burger was 10/10.
Fries were awesome, the sauce was the star of the dish.
Sitting at the bar and watching prep is highly reccomended, but would suggest parties of 4+ grab a table.
Mind that the burger and double are 2 and 4 patties respectively.
The patties, as is, are med-rare. If for some reason you'd like it prepared differently, let them know ASAP as it's likely your burger is being prepared before you even walk through the door.
Eggs and Bacon are well worth.
I'll be returning for the fried chicken and bone marrow next time.

Hands down one of the best burgers I have ever had! We had about a 50 minute wait when we arrived at the location as it is fairly small and bar seating is actual seating so you can’t snag those spots. We got sat a lot quicker and the service was spectacular! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Definitely one of the best burgers I’ve had! You should try it with both the egg and bacon at least once. The fried chicken and fries are good too, but stick with the burger if it’s your first visit. Chicken liver pâté is good if you’re in the mood for something that heavy. Good service! I should acknowledge that it’s not as life changing as some people hype it up to be, and sometimes can be a bit over salted.

Hello,
The restaurant offer different food other than burgers but the burger stands out, single burger is actually the conventional double cheese burger, the ambiance is busy and could be loud and it’s hard to get a table in case of walking in, so it’s better to book if you can, the staff was great and efficient. I tried the single cheese burger, this is my third time, i noticed in my last couple of visits that because of cooking tens of burgers Patties on one go and preparing the sandwiches together all making sandwiches served not as hot as you want your juicy burger to be, this is my own experience and it’s definitely an iconic burger joint must try once in Chicago.

I am going on the record here to say it is the best burger I have ever had! I had a gluten free option (over hash) and it was so yummy! The way the cheese was melted on the patty and the temperature of the meat was all so perfect! I would HIGHLY recommend getting on the wait-list and enjoying this experience! 🍔 The staff was spectacular and the ambiance was lovely!

Very popular and pricey diner in the area with a loyal following. There is almost always a long line and the wait time is often more than 30 minutes on a random weekday.
General Jane's honey fried chicken 🐔🍯 was finger licking good.
Roasted beef bone marrow 🦴 was truly amazing when paired with their pulled beef cheek marmalade. A definite treat.
Their signature burgers were ok, somewhat overpriced.

What a joke, how good this spot is! The burger is seasoned to perfection (get it with egg and bacon but do NOT get the double, it's just a touch too much... not that I speak from experience or anything), and with those little paper slices of pickle and house sauce?? Dear lord. We also got the honey chicken, which also stays juuuust on the right side of richness. Like they figured out how much would be too much and took a half step back. The fries were a bit too salty, but boohoo. Everything else was phenomenal, and I really dug the whole upscale diner feel of it. Highly recommended!
