Absolutely worth the drive. The food was delish, and the coffee was just right: not too sweet, just enough milk and strong. I am so proud of the family who runs Afro Joe's! We'll be coming back for more of those Afro puffs and music.

I was unaware of this coffee shop but I decided to give them a try after seeing them featured on WGN news last night. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage and a 16oz cappuccino with almond milk. The style, decore, professionalism, and quality of this estalishment rivals coffee shops in neighborhoods with individuals that don't look like me. As a resident of West Chatham, I am so pleased to have an establishment of this caliber in my community! Great food, ample parking, and a great experience!!

Came in and hospitality was very welcoming, all smiles and good energy. I had their dirty chai special and I don’t know what type of sorcery they did with it but I feel wonderful lol Also got the chicken wrap that was obviously made with love. Thank you, I’ll be back. I love a black owned business with excellent service♥️

I want to thank the owners for going above and beyond to accommodate our group when we came in during the lunch time rush. They provided excellent service and everyone loved their food and drinks. We can't wait to come back and try other menu items!

Good coffee, the best on the south side and friendly service.

The atmosphere here is fantastic! The owners are so friendly and welcoming. The coffee and food were both great. If I lived nearby this would be a daily stop for me.
