Been wanting to visit here since it opened. What an awesome place! Very nice atmosphere, great customer service! I had a caramel chocolate chai tea and berry bagel with cinnamon honey butter, delicious! Loved this place!!!
Great espresso drinks (Counter Culture), an assortment of excellent fresh baked goods, and a beautiful space. Superb attention to all the details, and easily one of the best coffeeshops (perhaps THE best) in a pretty large radius here in the S/SW burbs, wherein the coffee options are mostly just the Orange or Green chains. We're so excited and grateful they've opened!
Couldn't be happier to have an artisan coffee shop in town finally. So much care and thought has gone into the exterior and interior of this place... especially the amazing lattes and pastries. Always greeted with a smile. Truly a great local business to have. Stop reading this review and go now!
Delicious coffee and bagels in a really lovely space. Wonderful owners and staff! It's been so nice running into my neighbors at such a beautiful new addition to the neighborhood. Thank you Bryant and Amy!
.This place is great, everyone I’ve met in there seems to be super stoked about it. The owners are great, the coffee is great, and ambiance is great. I would give it 6 stars if I could and they are just getting started! To the one, one star review lady, you realize you are the Karen, you!
The cutest little coffee shop. I got the salted caramel iced latte and NYC styled bagel with garlic and chive spread. Very good! I couldn’t agree more that Blue Island needed something like this.
little on the pricy side, but it’s a cozy environment. nice employees and and the chocolate chip cookie was really good. a lot of parking.. recommend this place. blueisland really needed a small homie coffee shop in the area.
I wanted so badly to love this place, but it’s no-cash policy keeps me out. I have a bank account and a debit card, an iPhone and PayPal and Venmo and Zelle, so I’m perfectly capable of patronizing this place, but my ethics won’t allow it.
I went inside and smelled the delicious aromas and saw the gorgeous decor, and I asked the owners who were behind the counter about the policy.
I call b.s. when the blonde white lady standing next to the fishbowl filled with cash tips on her counter says, “With Covid and all, cash is just so dirty, we just don’t want it. Plus we live upstairs. We don’t want to have money here.” Heavens, Karen! We better get rid of that tip jar. I hope you burn those dirty plague-dollars in the alley.
(Also— I have found that people who are concerned about Covid wear masks. They probably don’t open sit-down service establishments during any part of a pandemic, and they probably don’t spend so much money or work so hard to make their inside environment so welcoming and conducive to sitting and staying a while.)
They’re not keeping Covid out of their in-person, cash-tipping establishment. They’re keeping the neighborhood out. They’re keeping out neighborhood kids with five bucks in their pocket who would love a fancy little coffee drink. They’re keeping out lower working class, working poor people who live paycheck to paycheck and might feel more financially secure spending the cash in their wallet instead of risking a small swipe on a card that could push them into a $30 overdraft fee if their bank processes transactions in some goofball order.

Hard pass on the caffeinated gentrification.
