One of the best spots to grab some coffe and chill out.

From out of town just staying in Godfrey for the night, and from what I can tell this is coolest place for miles around. Really good coffee and fantastic professional baristas who are experts at making it. Also a great environment to hang out with friends or to bring the laptop/tablet/a book and get some work done.

Absolutely love this coffee shop. The ambiance and design are both perfect. Great neighborhood cafe with an artistic feel. Owners and staff are unfailingly positive and friendly. An Alton favorite.

Maeva’s has a great atomosphere, and they offer delicious coffee, desserts, and seasonal drinks! But I would not recommend Maeva’s for people with food sensitivities. I am lactose intolerant and always order my coffee drinks to be made with almond milk, but some of the workers do not seem to be careful to use the correct type of milk. Lately I’ve received several drinks made with cow’s milk even though I’ve been charged the higher price for ordering a drink made with almond milk. It’s a bummer, because I used to love going there, but it’s not worth paying $5.25 for coffee I can’t drink. 🤷🏽♀️

It's unique and personable. The coffee selection's are many.
I have friends I'll meet for games of chess or just to chat.
They are ever improving the building and growing tenants of growing small businesses. GO AND SEE!

Stopped here randomly after hiking Pierre Marquette. Our GPS took us an interesting way, and we weren't sure about it when we got there, but this was a fun place inside an old school. There was also a massage place and a photographers studio inside. The only thing that kept me from five stars is outside the place could be cleaned up a bit, and the prices weren't the greatest. I think I paid $3.50 for a black coffee, which isn't ridiculous, but it was just black coffee. We'll be back next time we're out that way.

My Alton cousins introduced Maeva’s to us as we visited one weekend. Nice homey spot to enjoy great tasting huge quiches of mouth water recipes. The coffee is a great blend, not to strong & overbearing. We just stayed this weekend & Maevas was a must have to start our morning. Love from Indianapolis & returning customer. I was sad my black bean quiche wasn’t available, enjoyed the tomatoes lime recipe.

Love the ideal for this coffee shop. It's literally a pearl on a beach. This place would not seem like place it would be, but it is. Even better the drinks are great. This is the ideal place for a lunch break, or a first date.

My absolute favorite coffee in the area. Their space is interesting and inviting. Their daily selection of quiches and baked goods are always a nice addition, as well!

As soon as I walked in it felt pretentious. The gentleman behind the counter said nothing to me when I walked in (this was a first visit for me) After I approached and asked the barista what coffee they recommended, he said he'd be with me in a minute. After getting my coffees and italian soda, I was underwhelmed by the coffee, and the italian soda was not prepared well.(quite flavorless) The prices were above average, for below average coffee. I've certainly paid less for better java and kinder staff. I give a bonus star (up from 1) because the atmosphere is cozy, and the building feels rich with history- unfortuantely I wasn't there for the history or the nice fireplace. Just for the coffee.
