I cannot say enough good things about this locally owned business. The baristas really know a lot about what they are making and take pride and how it is prepared. From the soups to the chia pudding to the blueberry muffins and quiche, everything is good. The big bonus is that just down the hall is a free library of books and comfy seating where you could play games.

This place is a great hidden gem in Alton. It is off the beaten path for me but I wanted a Flat White that didn't involve driving 20 or 30 miles.
The coffee shop is housed in an old school. The location is not easy to spot from the street, so be sure to slow down and pay attention or you will pass it. The parking lot is gravel so I suggest parking on the street if you have a fresh car wash.
The inside is decorated warm and inviting. What is obviously an old classroom or school office has been transformed into a cozy coffee house with a lot of local flavor.
The prices are fair and actually on the lower side of what you expect to pay for coffee. The quality of the coffee is excellent and my flat white has been perfect on multiple occasions which is rare from any coffee house. A wide variety of pastries and baked goods are available and change daily. Quiche, muffins, cakes, cookies and more all at reasonable prices and extremely high quality.
Definately worth the visit!

Hidden Gem! I was skeptical pulling up and a little confused since Maeva's is in a large old school building, but once I figured that out, I was so impressed! Drinks were amazing, baked goods couldn't have been better, as well as the chia seed parfait. Do your self a favor and check out this place and the other shops in this one of a kind Alton place!

It’s always an amazing thing to find a coffee shop that cares about their coffee. From the roasting to the dialing in. The drinks were fantastic. The chai was BREATHTAKING. The blueberry coffee cake was extremely moist, and the monkey bread had the perfect spiced seasoning. I would drive out of my way again to stop by. :)

Big ups to Maeva's for providing a chill + aesthetically pleasing atmosphere in the Alton area. 🙌🏾
The coffee is good, the baristas are friendly, and damn, their baked goods are delicious!
No complaints about this place. Nestled in a large brick building that hosts a number of other businesses and events, you really don't need an excuse to stop in and grab a cup. They also have some unique gifts and goods for sale for the bohemian / eclectic buyer. 👍🏾

This coffee shop is in a kind of amazing space, if you're worried about social distancing but don't want to have to take your coffee to go or sit outside, there's plenty of seating in the Halls outside the cafe but inside the building. They have a coffee drink called the snowbird which I can't explain was the most amazing coffee drink I've ever had. Amazing.

This was a great morning coffee stop on our motorcycle trip. Great coffee and pastries !
Though a bit of a urine smell in main hallway which I’m sure they are taking care of, so I’m not going to ding them on that.

I came here with a friend to relax and catch up with eachother. The workers were very kind and welcoming to the both of us. The environment is very nice and relaxing. Everything was very clean and they were using environmentally-friendly metal straws. The coffee was very good and they had a good variety of choices Stayed there for a good while and had a great time.
