I loved coming here with my mom for a lunch date. We split a Turkey bacon avacado sandwich and had a pain au chocolat

Tldr order was completely wrong, would not order again

We ordered 2 sandwiches through the Kneaders website and one was made completely wrong. The sandwich was on the wrong bread, the cranberry sauce was replaced with a small side of cranberries (not sure why this was considered an acceptable replacement?? Salad dressing was incorrect and the cheese was not removed. But don't worry, the edits were highlighted on the receipt they gave us.
I called the store and the employee I spoke with was helpful and offered a replacement sandwich but I had to pick it up in person but it seems she didn't communicate this conversation to anyone else.
I arrived to the store and the manager seemed confused for a minute then said she'd go make the sandwich. Not sure why they waited until I got there to make it.. I asked if they could refund the delivery fee since I had to come pick up and was informed it would have to be done through doordash. I didn't order through doordash, there's literally nothing they could refund because I didn't pay them. I told the manager I paid through their site and she confirmed I still had to go through doordash.
I called doordash and they confirmed they can't do anything since I paid through Kneaders directly.

Friendly atmosphere... good selection of baked breads

The staff is very helpful and friendly. As for the pastries… Carrot cake which was moist but too sweet. Oatmeal cookie was very good. Tres leche pudding was disappointing. Maybe I would return to try the bread but as far as cakes, probably not.

Not sure I would ever return after my first visit. A young man greated me kindly, but was clearly a new hire. He needed some help from a more seasoned employee. He asked her a question. I couldn't tell if she had no care to assist him in learning, or with my wanting a bread type they "ran out of" but clearly she cared less for either one of us. Her words were "we ran out this morning" and moved on as to not be bothered with such trivia.

Not sure which to discuss first, the terrible customer service or the ridiculous prices or their plunging food quality. Kneaders used to be an absolute favorite, but anymore I skip it over and again, then try to give it a shot but am further disappointed. The last time I went (2 days ago), I ordered a sugar cookie that was placed carelessly in a cookie sleeve and the frosting was smeared all over. I knocked on the drive through window and asked for a different cookie in a suitable container. She responded that the frosting had been doing that all day grabbed the cookie back and literally threw it in the garbage in front of me. She was obviously annoyed. I wish I had tried it right then and there do I could have had my purchase completely refunded. The cookie was totally dry and the frosting is mostly shortening. They have ruined their cookies! And what's even crazier is that they charge $4 when you can purchase a box of loft house sugar cookies for the same price. As far as customer service, we used the drive thru a few days prior to this visit and they asked what we wanted we asked which cookies were available and mid order were told they just closed. Really. Truly.
