I am the wife of a Combat Vet. I am also a team driver OTR with said husband. This morning, I approached on foot the Silver Peak Espresso to grab some much-needed java for our drive to Illinois. As per the norm and having been a former resident of SV who has prior ordered coffee before walking the trail with my doggle in 2019, I approached the back door with a brightly lit OPEN sign next to it and opened the door. I greeted the young lady inside with a cheerful good morning and asked if I could order some coffee. Said young lady had an emotional fit; stated this was a drive-through only AND that I could go stand in line behind the cars in the drive through. I offered to bring my rig (knowing it wouldn't fit) through as I was amazed she would even have the audacity to suggest for a pedestrian to stand in line with the vehicles. First of all, that's unsafe. Second of all, the mouth and attitude towards a potential customer is unacceptable. Additionally, perhaps Ms. Devin ought to consider putting up a NO WALK-UP sign. After all, not everyone knows the rules have changed especially being gone from home for several years taking care of a sick Marine Vet BIL in Kentucky.
Finally, as a Blue Star Mom and wife to my Vet husband, let me just say that apparently, you didn't learn some bearing, honor, or kindness while your husband served. Thank you to him for his sacrifices, his service, his honor. Too bad you didn't pick up on his example.
Thank you Devin also for your running of your mouth on the phone when I called to speak to the owner.
I'm going to remind you of something, ma'am. Without us truckers, you wouldn't have your stuff.
Keep that in mind next time you feel inclined to be so...high strung.
I won't be doing business with you ever again and, I will be sure to get the word out with other drivers looking for coffee. Go elsewhere. Haugen MT is right down the way.
UPDATE: Ma'am, lying is really sad. Had I been screaming, they would've heard me at Wal-Mart. Also, screaming while husband is driving 80K pounds? Not exactly smart or safe. I see common sense isn't your forté. Furthermore, when I go off, I do it in my mother tongue of German. Lastly, the only "threat" made was that I was going to report you. I did just that.
Good luck for your future. I do wish you the best along with some wisdom on controlling yourself. If you're overwhelmed as you seemed to be this morning, please hire some help. There are lots of great people in the Valley able to alleviate some of your rush hour stress. Be blessed.

Husband and I stopped for some hot chocolate on our way back home. The lady seemed nice. We got our hot chocolate and it was so hot the sleeves didn't help shield the heat, which is how I like it so I thought this was going to be great. The first taste when it started to cool down was disgusting. My husband tried his and thought the same. It tasted like watered down dirt.

They do know how to make a great coffee.
Quick in-and-out.
For a small town espresso stand it is great.

My favorite local coffee. The girls are always so sweet and helpful when I don't know what I want and always extremely polite to my son. Love it!

In August we pulled in for coffee. Unfortunately our car died. The gals working that day let us use their personal phones to call tow trucks etc. Great customer service. And the coffee's good too.

Had the best experience when they first opened, then they "quit"getting the flavored redbulls they special ordered for me "or never had them" because they had a family member that always took them??? Weird. Then my wife also had a bad experience early this afternoon. You can read hers if you want to know. Anyways not the nice little place I originally thought it was.

Stopped by twice on one day it was that good! Baristas are awesome and my drinks were perfect. The coffee powered me through 125 miles of riding the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes

Great spot to pull over in the woods & take a nap like I did. Sorry I hurried the pics! Idaho reminds me of where Im from 💚 the State of Indiana 💚 problem is both states will put me in handcuffs faster than you can say..."here kitty kitty, here kitty. Now remember to talk to your parents about Cannabis The Cat 💚
