Local classic and one of the last local diners in town. Great food and friendly vibe.

We got yelled at by the waitress. She said, "I have 8 other tables to take care of you aren't the only table I have. You need to go read the Sign on the door. Oh, All we asked for was more Salad Dressing. The waitress went and told the manager we yelled at HER. He came out and he said,"Don't you be yelling at my staff." We never yelled at anyone. We were in shock we were treated so badly we payed the bill and went out the back door. No, we never got the salad dressing. You should never let someone leave your restaurant unhappy. We are Old and we have no reason to yell at any. Won't be back

I had the pleasure of visiting Connie's 2 weekends ago. My first time to Sandpoint and I went to Connie's with one of her regulars twice and just didn't want to leave. The only thing better than the food was the Wait staff. All amazing and smiling. Adrienne was hilarious and I can't wait to come back .

Husband and sons food was great but my waffle and eggs were like warm. I'd still give them another try if I'm in the area based on how happy the rest of family were with their food

Update 4/22/22:
Finally had breakfast for once. It may not be most people's choice and simplistic but in my opinion, oatmeal can be easy to screw up. This wasn't just flat rolled oats either...we're talking the consistency of barley. Nice chewy and wholesome. It was accompanied by raisins, brown sugar, cream, and peanut butter on the side as well as an english muffin! The coffee was nice and dark and hot too!

Update 5/19/21:

Ok, so I have not done breakfast YET but this time I had a burger. OMG! So good. Presentation, flavor, and they grill the bun too! The fries were absolutely perfection! Again, I can't say enough of the warm vintage setting without the old wear and tear. I couldn't resist the homemade chocolate cake under the glass cake stand taunting me. Now the pic doesn't do it justice. Much like the imperfect fruits in a store, it may not look pretty but the taste is worth it. It was a tad dry but the not overly sweet frosting made up for it. Perhaps ask when it was made to ensure the moistness? Still didn't regret it.

I did visit the lounge as well. What a nice surprise! Super clean and welcoming variations of seating options including an outside patio. I was told they usually have live music nights too. There's a pool table (only 50 cents), and a gas fireplace area (wish I got a pic but there was a large group in front of it), a jukebox, one gambling machine, and a fully stocked bar with beer on tap. I had a huckleberry hefeweizen, yum! The bartenders were friendly and patrons pleasant. It's a one stop date night!

First Visit:

Connie's Cafe has a dark warm and inviting atmosphere of a nostalgic night cafe. In fact, they do have a liquor licence so it wouldn't surprise me if it used to be a late night eats place. That being said, yes, they do serve alcohol.

The menu is pretty much typical of cafe selections. I ordered a hot beef open faced sandwich (called a beef commercial where I come from) and it was pretty good. Now I only say that because the beef gravy was a mushroom gravy, which I was not aware of, and I'm not fond of them. The dinner salad was very basic and iceberg lettuce.

The waitress was kind, smiling, and not too pushy or constantly stopping by. I'll have to return to try some breakfast items in the future and update.

Great breakfast! I had their homemade corned beef hash full breakfast with a side of fresh sauteed mushrooms. Wonderful service. Hope to be back.

Really awesome little place! And clean! Impressively clean actually. I worked in food service for years and I know where excellent restaurants clean and mediocre restaurants cut corners. This place was clean everywhere. The food was good quality, bacon for example was nice and thick, nicely seasoned, not that extra thin cheap stuff some places serve. Omelette and hash browns were both really good. Wife really enjoyed her sandwich. Kids meals were both perfect for kids. And Emily, our waitress, was friendly and professional.

This place is an all around quality excellent restaurant.

My husband and I ate here for our 1 year wedding anniversary breakfast based on recommendations from Google and were so happy we did! We are from Spokane but wish we were closer as this was the best breakfast place we have been to in a while! Our waitress Adrienne was super sweet, everything was clean (no masks but they spaced everyone out well), and the food they used was great quality (Tillamook cheese, NW local eggs, made from scratch pancakes, etc.) and tasted amazing!! My husband got eggs Benedict with hash browns and I got a denver omelet with their diced potatoes and we split pancakes (worth it to order extra) so would highly recommend trying any of that! Also, shout out to their staff as the power briefly went out during breakfast rush hour due to wind storm and the staff still served everyone well and fast so I just can't say enough about how impressed I was by this place - thank you Connie's Cafe!
