PRIMAL! Great new shop. Been buying his coffee for years at markets and he final opened a shop. Coffee is unique. Roasted over fire in a traditional way (primal) gives the coffee a dark and Smokey flavor but very smooth! One of my favs. Shop has a great vibe with great pastries. You need to stop here.

Nice dark roast done in house - great taste through the entire coffee. The ‘Primal Coffee’ is a special treat. Atmosphere is relaxed with options to buy musical instruments and hey, there’s even knife sharpening if you want.
But coffee is the main substance here with some Gaston’s baked goodies - a great combo.

We were stoked that Primal Coffee finally opened a location. We’ve been drinking their coffee at the Farmer’s Market for years! They roast their own beans and make an exceptional cup of coffee ☕️ the vibe in the space is unlike any other coffee shop we’ve been to in the Treasure Valley. We drop in weekly, it’s so delicious!

If you want an amazing cup of coffee and some tasty pastries when you're on the Boise bench, check out Primal Coffee! Austin runs the shop and roasts his own beans. They really know what makes a great cup of coffee! Definitely worth seeking this shop out!

All I can say is this is my NEW coffee shop. The owner turned me onto the primo coffee and man is it delicious. The coffee is not bitter unlike some other big brands, cough SB. They roast there own coffee in house and the beans I believe are Vietnamese and the coffee is delicious recommend getting the primo coffee with the nitro cream on top can't get enough of this stuff.

Looking for a cute and cozy place to enjoy a coffee and some breakfast?! This is your spot. The Primal Latte was perfect with the touch of cinnamon and in-house made cream.

Favorite place in Boise to experience great coffee. You might have to double-check that they got your order right.... but it's all been absolutely delicious. Definitely grab one of their handmade mugs while you're there. The owners mom makes them :)

Primal is a wonderful change of pace and scenery in the Boise coffee scene. Austin has a natural sense of familiarity and community space. He’s not trying, that’s just the way it is. There’s stringed instruments for sale and all handmade ceramics lining every surface- which he uses and sells.
I personally enjoy the entire spectrum of coffee roasts and find something to truly enjoy in all varieties. Primal keeps it defiantly dark, which makes me feel like I’m camping or out in the woods on a cozy morning.
They also host a dank and filling lil breakfast sandwich that really makes me want to say “see, it’s not that fuggin hard to do, Boise!” And it’s affordable. It can be done, and with minimal space!
It’s great here. Highly recommend if you want a comfortable atmosphere and friendly— BONUS: it’s so much quieter than so many coffee shops that you can actually hear yourself think. I love it. Two big thumbs up. 10 stars.

This coffee shop is amazing! Their breakfast sandwich is phenomenal and their baked goods fly off the shelf. Their primal coffee and chai tea latte are so unique and the staff was really easy to chat with. We’ll be back!
