Jim and Elenore are the wonderful people who run Kula Sandalwoods. There are cottages and a restaurant, making Kula Sandalwoods the perfect place to stay on your visit to Maui.
I am a bit biased; Jim and Elenore are friends of the family. But that doesn't take away from the fact that Elenore is a culinary school trained chef. I love her hot cakes and ham & cheese omelette.
Please treat yourself to a great breakfast at Kula Sandalwoods and help support a great couple.

We wanted to stop here on our way back from the Haleakala sunrise. The website shows they are open at 730am. Closed sign was still on at 740 so we called. We were told the diner opened at 8am. We waited until 810am and still no one inside and no coffee pot going. Disappointed. They lost a lot of business...3 other cars left before we did waiting for them to open.

I had the Lokelani! The herb Aioli is fantastic, probably matches their Egg Benedict sauce - if you a sauce person - is fantastic. The sliver of ham gives under tones to the sauce. The owners serve and cook there. Very nice

They have about 3 tables outdoors, reservation only or take out. High prices, masks encouraged.

I previously would have given this a 5 stars. Then a four. Then a three. It feels like it has gotten so much worse over the years. Maybe it has improved again, but I finally convinced myself to stop going. Was the best eggs benedict upcountry, but I think that now belongs to Market Fresh Bistro or La Provence, which are both cheaper.

Note: I have had fresh squeezed orange juice here. I have also had Tropicana he PROMISED was fresh squeezed. That is a deal breaker for me.

Breakfast was fantastic. Perfectly proportioned, reasonably price, extremely fresh. Definitely reminds me of my local mom and pop restaurants.

Food was delicious! Highly recommend after watching the sunrise!

Incredible food (the Eggs Benedict is to die for), great view and the people/staff are awesome! A "must stop" go to or from Haleakala volcano!

Had a wonderful breakfast! Good prices and great food. Fluffy omelets and best hash browns I've ever had.

Loved the service , very kid friendly, coffee does the job, and I love the view. Much better than kula lodge. I regret going here then there. This is my 3rd time at sandlewood since Maui, love it.
