You’ve heard of a million dollar view? Well The Seaview Terrace has a billion dollar view. Maybe I’m pushing it some but it is fantastic! You can get drinks and food while enjoying the view. Most evenings they have great music too, all at the Grand Hyatt!

Kauai No Reservations

One of the more challenging aspects of Kauai dining is finding a suitable dining spot when casual plate lunch places have all closed and more formal sit-down dining is all booked, especially in the touristy Poipu area

Seaview Terrace takes over the space of Illima Terrace during dinner and offers an eclectic menu

There’s something for everyone and while the prices are a bit elevated reflecting the hotel location, it’s very convenient with plentiful space for walk ins and no reservations taken

📷 Truffle Burger $25 / Caesar Salad $17 / Mentaiko Pasta $33 / Lobster Dynamite $37

📍Seaview Terrace (Poipu, Kauai)

Seating is all open air and credit cards are all accepted. The best part is no reservations with plentiful seating.

The food was a bit over priced, but that is expected eating at a resort and the atmosphere. It was the only place that we could eat without reservations. So, make sure you make reservations at the restaurants. I thought the food was just ok. I wasn't blown away by what we had. However, the chocolate mousse crunch was yummy and the tempura Paradise roll was perfectly fried.

If there were 10 stars it would be a 10!! I had a grilled Ahi sandwich and a Happy Madison for lunch and it was so amazing. My food was great and the drink fixed everything… lol actually it really did. 🤭 Very nice views as well, overlooking the water and lighthouse in the distance. Truly wonderful.

We started with drinks, I had a Maui Brewing Coconut Porter and my wife had a Dark & Stormy. We also ordered some yakitori skewers. The slaw that comes with the skewers is amazing.

For dinner I had the banh mi and she had the poke bowl. The banh mi was one of the best I've ever had and the poke bowl was a huge portion of insanely fresh ahi.

The food combined with the atmosphere was simply unfortunate.

We came here for dinner. Good ambience and tasty food. The staff was willing to make a few tweaks to accommodate our vegetarian needs.

Came here for some drinks before our reservation at Stevenson Library. Gorgeous views from the Lani area. Drinks are pretty expensive, but you do get your money's worth with both volume and quality. You can also order some small plates, which come from Stevenson's library (we think). Very nice setting, and they had some live music when we were out there. Highly recommend during the evening!

Great view. Brad is also a fun person. He helped us pick our drinks and food, and had an overall great personality and positive outlook on life. Loved this evening spent here.

Fantastic place! We typically prefer non-hotel restaurants while on vacation, but this was restaurant was fabulous! We walked into the restaurant with no reservations and they were so accommodating. The view was beautiful and the live music was just setting up as we were seated. The musician turned out to be a wonderful young man playing the guitar and singing awesome songs. Very entertaining.
The menu had a great selection for our family. We even had one family member who has dietary restrictions and the chef was very accommodating with his needs. Plus, his meal was delicious despite the limited items and spices he can eat. The rest of the party ordered the fish of the day (ono), truffle burger and mentaiko pasta. For cocktails, we ordered the skinny pina, cucumber elderflower collins, classic manhattan and lemonade.

We were too full to order dessert but continued to enjoy the wonderful live music.

There is plenty of parking, but if you prefer valet since the restaurant is part of the Grand Hyatt, it is available.
