Absolutely the Best breakfast spot. Once we found this place it was an every morning thing for us while on vacation. A must try

The food was delicious. Loved my papaya fruit dish with Greek yogurt. My husband ordered the French toast. Only thing I disliked was having to eat on the picnic bench because there wasn’t enough seating for us.

Small place with great breakfast. Really enjoyed their eggs Benedict and French toast! Be prepared for a wait earlier in the morning through 11 am-ish.

Unlike other reviews, I don't think this place is popular with the locals. Every single person I saw there looked like a tourist. They were busy but moved through service quickly. It was a fine breakfast but the Benedict were underwhelming. When the menu says "sunny side up" believe it. The benedict eggs are not in the traditional Benedict style. I think safer choices are the pancakes not eggs dishes. Fruit was super fresh and delicious. Overall, good for the experience.

Overall: While in an odd area of the "mall", Anuenue is a fantastic brunch option for those with large appetites.

The good: Fantastic food - easily our favorite brunch spot of the trip. The menu isn't huge, but every option is a home run and we all left happy and full. I personally got the Kalua pork fried rice, which felt like an endless tray of savory goodness. The pork was tender and the rice was crispy and flavorful. The service was fast and friendly and essentially every seat is outside.

The not-so-good: The outdoor seats are a little uncomfortable and the prices are high (a broken record on any HI island).

After a few days on the island, you will come to learn that if it has good food, there will be a line. Anuenue is not exception — perhaps with its limited seating which is totally understandable (small footprints), there was a short wait when we got there in the morning.

It’s embedded in a ‘mall’ where you have to wind through different shops to get to. So the wait does say something about this place. Also, with the time you have, you can walk around to shop! We got a pair of S.Korea imported socks that has our dog’s breed on it.

Anyway, once seated the service was pretty fast. We had a French toast which was HUGE, as well as a papaya yogurt — both delish and hits the spot.

What I love about this island is in its fruits — the sweetest papaya (which is not suppose to be sweet, I think), and mango you will ever have. It just makes for a really enjoyable meal!

Came here everyday I’ve been on the island so far. Brought our entire group here after the first day because it was so good! Highly recommended!!

Went here twice with my girlfriend for breakfast, once I got the French toast with coconut (it had some cute surfing name), and she got the Surfer Bowl with pork and avocado. The second time I got the bowl she got last time, and she got the Tube ride - a French toast with berry and lemon curd. Both times we got a “papaya in the half shell”, a fresh papaya with Greek yogurt and granola. Even the side of sausage was really unusually good.

The food is just so good, I may try to go back for breakfast one more time before going home.

Both times there was a 15-20 minute wait, which was fine. The seating is spread out between several locations, so we got to sit outdoors once. The prices would be a bit high in a different location, but seem very reasonable for Hawaii.

We all loved this place, kids and adults. We went back twice in one week. Service was great, wait staff was very friendly, coffee was delicious. I loved their pork fried rice, I went back for it again. My kids had their banana nut pancakes and hubby had the surfer breakfast. I would definitely go back to this place again. My only suggestion is you get there early so you don’t have to wait.

Run away. Do not even think about it if food matters to you. We took 2 eggs benedict from "special". we got 2 sunny sides up pan fried eggs on the top of a muffin. Lord knows what kind of oil they use for cooking but it smelled horrible. They have no idea what "eggs benedict" is. Potato on a side was too salty, I mean, we could not eat it and it was burned out. This place is a joke.
