Kona Mountain Coffee

Expensive. Nothing special. Expensive but cheaply made treats.

Edit after company response: it wasn't the quality of the actual coffee in the drinks. It was how the execution of the drinks that were made. Slightly coffee flavored blended ice. It's possible it was an off day.

My review on expensive cheaply made treats is in regards to the chocolate treats, not to the coffee. The small bag of rocky road type treat was over $10. Which is fine and what I'd expect to pay in a tourist shop and accounting for higher prices on the islands. When I say cheaply I am referring to the imitation vanilla and blue food dye used in that particular product. I usually read ingredient lists like it's my job, but that particular day I had a baby crying and decided to say "yes" to my older child on picking out an item and didn't read the ingredients. Had I, I would have had a upset child and $11 in my pocket.

We have visited Kona Mountain Coffee on previous visits to Kona. But our most recent visit this month will be our last.

Side note: I'm not sure how my order was refunded? My husband did return his first drink and got something different.

Yesterday we landed on Kona and knew our first stop just had to be Kona Mountain Coffee! I am a barista back home in Oregon, and was so excited to finally have the chance to try out your coffee! Sad to say, you guys surpassed any drink I have ever had at my coffee company, and if I had the chance, I'd never drink anything but your coffee again! Keep killing it! You guys ROCK! 100 stars!!!!

We called ahead to let them know we were going to be there about 5 min after closing but we're hoping they'd stay open for us to buy coffee since it was our last day. They were more than happy to wait for us and still have us samples and let us shop. Amazing coffee and chocolates!!!

The BEST coffee shop on the island, hands down! The staff is always fun, friendly and knowledgeable and you can always expect the same outstanding experience with each visit. Highly recommended to all I love this place!

Just south of the airport, in an industrial park is this gem.
This is the real Kona coffee, not what you are getting in the tourist traps.
Don't forget to try their made in store chocolate treats !

Best coffee I have ever had. The customer service is at an A+ fast and good. The man there speaks Japanese with the customers that speak it, which is cool to ease drop in on. For the non Japanese speakers, such as myself, he's still very friendly and welcomes you in. He seems to really like making coffee and probably drinking a lot of it cus boy he's a happy guy!!!
Now for the coffee, get the MANA PROOF added into your coffee, if you like butter and coconut oil n such. Just a plain medium roast cup to go?... YeS that's bomb too! Oh and chocolate, so good. Real chocolate, not that Hershey crap.

This coffee is amazing! There was a minor mistake made when my order shipped, but I called them and they fixed it ASAP. I believe I’ve found my forever coffee home.

Just went in to get me some 100% Kona coffee. They have a few varieties, roasts,and package sizes, all easy to find and well labeled. Got what I wantedand was out in a few minutes, in plenty of time to catch my flight

I have been working at Kona Mountain Coffee for the last 8 years. I enjoy my work very very much! One of the main reason I still work at the Kona Mountain Coffee after eight years is because of the management & the owner of the operation & the EXCELLENT QUALITIES of 100% PURE Kona Coffee they grow, process, serve & sell. They have provided me with nothing but pure kindness, love & commitment to excellence when it comes to quality of work, the quality of 100% Pure Kona coffee & taking care of there staff & colleagues. Anytime I needed any assistance, help or in time of troubles they have provided me with security, safety, advices & answers with most respect, kindness & love.
As a matter of fact, I would not still be working here if that was not the case! I am in a fortunate position where I can go work else where, anytime, but I have always decided to stay with this company, even after eight years, just because they are the best people I have ever worked for.
I have worked in variety of places from NYC, Greenwich, CT, Osaka, Japan, Captain Cook & beyond but I must say, The family that runs and operate Kona Mountain Coffee is genuine, kind, royal & amazing people & I sure am grateful to have them in my daily life. Very thankful for the work & very happy with the pay that I receive for my work.
I have varieties of reasons why I decided to write and post on Google review today, but I will stop here. I completely have faith & trust in our royal & new customers who experience Kona Mountain coffee's service, products, operation procedures, management, the taste & the quality of 100% pure Kona coffee, the service of the staff & the daily operation.
