Paddles Coffee

Wife went in. Paid for a cup of coffee. Waited 25 minutes for it while people came and went. She lefr empty handed. Restaurant Impossible.

The staff here are super friendly and I dig the space but two things I don't like about is place is
1. THE LOUD DOOR BELL RINGING EVERY 2 SECONDS!
I always bring my laptop and headphones to try to get work done and the bell is super loud and it's irritating to constantly hear it go off. I wish they could lower the volume or go with a more traditional bell that wasn't so grating. 2. As a coffee lover I don't like the taste of the coffee at all. It tastes bland, bitter and too watery to me. I ordered a black espresso over ice and it is not made with an espresso machine but with an automatic coffee maker that does everything automatically. I think they need to invest in an espresso machine and get some good quality beans. This tastes like hotel coffee. I have noticed a lot of coffee shops in this area put more emphasis on bakery items than quality coffee and it's disappointing. I work down the street from here and I would be willing to return but without good tasting coffee I don't think I will come back very soon. I am considering throwing my espresso out and getting a cup of coffee from Parkers. I'm sorry but the coffee here really does taste like instant crystals. Please please please invest in some good beans!!! Avocado Toast sandwich was really good. Also, I wish there were a few more power outlets.

I absolutely love Paddles. Not only is their food delicious, they also offer gluten free options and have non-dairy milks (including oat, which is my favorite). I bring all my friends and family here and they become fans as well. For pleasant staff, great food and calm environment you have to check out Paddles!

We live right around the corner and just came for the first time today. I had no idea how nice of a cafe this was. It is so nice and brand new inside. It is also a lot bigger than you think from the outside. The food is beautiful and very tasty. We had the biggest cinnamon roll ever, cherry pie, chocolate croissant, beagle sandwich and toasted beagle. All wonderful. Under 20 bucks. LOVED IT!

The absolute best iced caramel macchiato I’ve EVER had!!! Super nice people & the business is extremely clean!!!! I love the environment ~ Super cute!!! I’m just wishing that I didn’t live 4 hours away. It’s probably for the best though. Addictive! ❤️💙

It's very nice! Service was awesome! It has a relaxing and wonderful atmosphere! Our company hosted a job fair and the staff was awesome! Mrs. Danielle was very nice from our initial conversation!! Would recommend you visit if you are ever in the Effingham County Area!
