A quaint little gem on River Street.
I was the first patron when I arrived around 8ish on a Tuesday.
I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict. The biscuit was huge and delicious. I couldn't finish it all.
The waitress was super friendly.
By the time I left, it was crowded.
Oh, and this location is cash only, but they did have an ATM on site.

Any place that hangs bacon in front of my face gets an automatic 5 stars! Great atmosphere, live music and delicious food. Clothesline Bacon, Crab Cake Benedict and Peach French Toast were all on point.

My wife and I had breakfast at this location and were disappointed. My wife’s grits were cold upon arrival, not even melting the room temp butter, and my “3” egg river rambler scramble was mainly potatoes (the eggs must have been from a quail). The huge biscuits were excellent though. When I went to pay the bill with a credit card, I was told they were cash only. When l asked where that was posted, I was told the waitress should have told me, luckily I had the cash. Very disappointed! Walk down the street to Huey’s, you’ll get your money’s worth.

This place is wayyyyy overpriced! The oj is really good. The ham is really good also. French toast was hard as a rock! The portion size for the money is very small! EXCEPT for the biscuits. They are huge! We would not go back or recommend!

Most of our meals were cold when put on the table, and missing items we ordered. A couple orders were not what we ordered at all.
I got the Crab cake eggs Benedict, with over easy eggs. They came out with burnt scrambled eggs and cheese sauce poured over the top. I tried to eat it, but couldn't finish it (I'm not a picky eater).
When this was brought to the attention of the servers they initially refused to compensate for the uneaten meals, and I was charged for crab cakes. Come to find out, the waitresses have to pay FROM THEIR OWN POCKETS for this. I wasn't going to pay for things that never showed up at the table, but a waitress that didn't even serve us had to pay for our discounted parts of our meals. Terrible business and no accountability on the cooks or owner.
I usually don't take the time to write poor reviews, but this was hands down one of my worst dining experiences ever. And on my birthday too.
If it was just the food that was bad, that would be whatever. But making waitresses pay for mistakes from the kitchen out of their pocket is disgusting.

I would give this a 1/2 star if I could. The 1st thing that happened was the waitress came and took stuff off our table. We ordered drinks and never got them. Never got silverware or napkins. The waitress couldn't get our order right? $16 for 2 plain eggs bacon a flaky biscuit, and cold grits, Don't come here. Cash only too.

Literally the worst meal I’ve ever had in my entire life. We waited forever not because there were so many people eating but because no one cleared any of the tables when people were done eating. After we finally sat down and ordered the food took a while to come out. My grilled chicken wrap was 90% lettuce with a couple of small pieces of chicken. Absolutely terrible place. DO NOT EAT HERE. Don’t be fooled by the cute name. This place sucks.

Very average, both service and food, especially the most bland grits we've ever had. The giant biscuit was the best part mainly because it was unexpected. Way too many other places to choose from with better food, service, and most definitely price.

We stopped in to try the bacon clothesline. It may seem odd to pay $14 for three slices of bacon when you can get a side of bacon (also three slices) for $5, but I'm telling you, it's worth it. This bacon is THICK. They're like little bacon steaks! And the jam makes it even better... Totally worth the extra cost.

Very friendly staff and a really cool location. The breakfast sangria is also very good. We'll definitely be back!

yeah this was HORRIBLE. A neurodivergent nightmare.
If your dont want to read the whole review just know that your going to be paying about $60 for 2 people and they only take cash, there is an ATM but it costs $4 to actually use.

The restaurant itself is relatively small, so if its busy you're going to be waiting a while before you're seated. Me and my mother waited about 30 minutes to be seated (11:00-11:30) when we were placed upstairs in the far left corner by the window. After being seated we took a look at the menus and were shocked with what the prices were. I personally ordered the peach texas french toast without the pecans or caramel, it came with a side of bacon and eggs. I also ordered a sprite which wasnt that good but thats not the point here. The toast itself came out as you'd expect it, cooked, but soggy. The bacon was crisp but slightly cold and there was only 3 pieces, the eggs which were supposed to be 2 looked very sad and small, were unseasoned and cold. there was a live band playing that were FAR too loud for where they were giving me an awful headache. When we were done we went downstairs to pay, and we heard the waitresses complaining about how the owner of the establishment came to the register, took all the money, and then left so they had no change to give people. We ended up just handing them $70 for tip and all, cause the waitress only stopped by to take our orders, deliver the food, and then the check.
