Amazing local coffee shop ambiance. The place feels very local and homey. I felt the atmosphere very inviting. I was waiting for a friend here, and I got a capuchino and a chicken Caesar Salad. I really enjoyed my time here. I hate to say this: one of the front desk employees seemed tired of life and would not smile back at clients, they don't do late art, and the coffee flavor on my cappuccino was on the bitter, not in a good way, side. Having said all that, the rest of the staff seemed friendly, and the cappuccino was not undrinkable either. Since the ambiance is beyond beautiful in comparison to most coffee shops I wouldn't feel confident taking a whole star off. I would take just half a star just to alert coffee junkies.

This is the best coffee spot in Savannah. They make amazing drinks and have great food for you to order. When you get the food, you get to sit and enjoy your coffee in wonderful arm chairs and just relax. This is how coffee is meant to be. I cannot recommend this place enough. It is a local joint and they do things their own way.

Travellers, this is an adorable coffee shop in downtown Savannah. They offer coffees and other likewise beverages, desserts, soups, and sandwiches. The classic cheesecake is delicious, as are all the cheesecakes. The sugar cookies were excellent. The cookie lover in our group raved about it. The sandwiches are good, especially the chicken salad. Bagels are yummy. They have wine and liquors for coffee. Hot tea was wonderful. Served ina large mug and made with fine tea. We enjoyed the visit. Check it out. We recommend.
TL;DR great coffee and dessertsđź‘Ť

This place is so comfy! With retro furniture and vintage decoration, it's a great atmosphere to have a cup of coffee. The price is reasonable, I had the day's sandwich with iced latte and it was great! People working here are super friendly!

We discovered The Gallery Espresso as a Savannah Walking Tour we were on stopped by for a bathroom/beverage stop...we found, because of where it was situated on Bull Street, it was an excellent place/location to stop back in to after visiting other nearby sites. I think we ended up stopping there 3 times for mid-day snacks and beverages.
My first beverage was sweet tea...I like iced tea, and I don't mind a sweet drink, and this definitely tasted what I imagined to be authentic, but perhaps was too sweet for my personal tastes...I had to "northern it up" a little with a lemon wedge. My second time there I got a regular iced tea which they added a little bit of simple syrup to (and lemon) and it was quite refreshing.
There was PLENTY to eat for the 2 of us vegetarians (one of whom is also gluten-free.) I really liked the raspberry and brie-filled croissant (and is anyone else also freaked out there's a "p" in the middle of the word "raspberry" ??) It was really good.
My wife enjoyed the gorgeous-looking fruit bowl she got, as well as the gluten-free triple berry bundt cake.
The Gallery Espresso is a fantastic, comfortable, and centrally located space to take a drink and snack break while wandering around all of Savannah. Something for everyone!

We arrive in Savannah on a late mid-March morning on and it started to pour down rain, so, after we parked in a covered garage, we went in to this great little coffee house. Because of the rain, it was pretty busy; it was well worth the wait. We enjoyed excellent espresso and a pastry. Service was excellent.

One of my favorite places for many years. We seriously consider a multi-hour trip to Savannah to go sit in Gallery Espresso.
The atmosphere is typical student city, with plenty of comfortable non-matching seating, and the cakes are godly
(and of course the coffee is great too)

This coffee shop is centrally located in a prime spot right on Chippewa Square. It’s not a huge place but it’s very homey with plenty of armchairs and couches, so it’s got a great atmosphere. They also have some traditional tables and chairs along the wall for laptops.

I just love this place. Not only do they serve all the coffees Starbucks would have but they also serve a variety of quality pastries. They have staples with some gluten-free options and in addition rotate to throw in new cakes/flavors on a daily basis.

My favorite place in downtown Savannah. Wonderful customer service, amazing breakfast and lite lunch options. Coffee yum! Seating is comfy overstuffed antique chair with a fireplace to cozy up to. Spent my 20s in Europe and the place captures that vibe. Six pence, broughton street, river street within a short walking distance. For the more ambitious, Forsyth park is 1/2 a mile further. Park here, break your fast and go explore.
