Fantastic coffee shop in Savannah’s historic district. Awesome coffee and pastries. I’m fussy and I don’t say that lightly.
The staff and service are great.
The attention to every detail in this location is incredible. Beautiful vibe! A must visit (regularly) place if your in the area.

Cool, modern, minimalist warehouse style coffee shop with lots of indoor plants and seating options. The food is tasty with a variety of sweet and savory options. The Golden Hour (their special orange cream flavored cold brew) was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately they were really packed around midday, but others are pretty good about sharing tables, if you don’t mind squeezing in.

Great coffee, atmosphere, and service. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Coffee was excellent with lots of options and alternatives. Food looked good too! The space had an amazing design with great natural light which I always love. Can’t wait to go again!

We had the privilege of visiting the brand new downtown Savannah cafe “Origin Coffee Bar”. We enjoyed breakfast one morning with the delicious Midnight Dream and the All American, both were absolutely delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up coming back on Sunday for more! Brett made my Latte and it was amazing. It takes great skill to make an amazing latte especially one that I like and he truly mastered it cause I loved it. All the employees were very professional and so welcoming, they made us feel at home. Matt and Elise are such sweet people, you can tell how much respect they have not just for their customers but also for their employees. I think this cafe is truly going to thrive! We love Origin Coffee Bar and we can’t wait to come back! Thank you Matt & Elise, see you again soon!

Very nice coffee place on MLK with lots of natural light and modern features. The owner has a close attention to detail and keeps the place spotless and functional. The food is served on glass plates and actual silverware is provided for a nice dining in experience. Outdoor seating is also available. The coffee and food tasted great, was fresh and came out quickly.

Their seasonal Maple Cinnamon Latte was a warm treat on this cold November morning. I wish it had had more maple flavor, but it was good. I thoroughly enjoyed the Broccoli Quiche made by a local bakery, Auspicious Baking Company. I was excited to learn that Auspicious Baking Company provides Origin Coffee Bar their baked goods.
There was a line at opening this a.m. The young lady taking the orders was very helpful! I do wish napkins and a fork has accompanied my order as I had to search out these items.
This large coffee shop can accommodate a crowd! Metal, 2 seater high tops line the street view windows, and about 10 large round tables easily handle groups. The high black ceiling, cement floors and white walls all lend to the industrial atmosphere. A constant showing of the sitcom, The Office, on the rear wall fills the void of the blank, empty space.

#1 COFFEE SHOP STOP DOWNTOWN SAVANNAH, If you had to pick a morning coffee to wake up to everyday you need to come to origin coffee bar!!! This place hypes me up, such a good vibe while you’re kicking back drinking your coffee. This is the place you come to and order another coffee after already having one. It’s an addiction I can’t stop. Get the caramel latte with oat-milk by my favorite barista named Rachel and her awesome team. They are rock stars

Origin clearly cares about their coffee. Having followed their progression on Instagram for some time I'm happy to finally experience what they have to offer.
The Space: Open while still offering a good amount of seating. I can see this place filling up pretty quickly so I wonder if more tables will appear inside at some point. Decor is minimal but lovely. I really love the light fixtures that look like coffee filters. Big points for having electric outlets available everywhere in here. I see myself coming here to read a lot in the near future.
The Coffee: I had to try a little of everything. First was the espresso. Not sure if single origin or blend but it's tasty. Not too harsh, lightly sweet, thicker consistency. Origin roasts their own coffee on Bellwether Roasters which do generally small batches. I can say this coffee is the best I've had from a Bellwether. I had sort of written them off after trying other coffees roasted on the machine, but I'm glad to be proven wrong.
Next was the pour over, I chose Ethiopian but Columbian was also available. (Nice to have two options). It looks like they're using the Curtis Seraphim auto pour over system. It's a cool piece of tech and integrated into their bar nicely. The end result is a very light but refreshing pour over coffee. I prefer my pour overs very light but I could see others calling the extraction weak. It was so light that pulling specific notes out of the coffee was difficult but I still enjoyed it. It contrasted the espresso nicely.
Finally the Eden's Tonic. I'm a sucker for espresso tonics so I try one anytime I see one. This one is pretty nice. It has a hibiscus twist on a typical tonic so it has more sweetness than bitterness. The foam that results from lightly mixing everything is delicious and once the layers are all incorporated it's balanced very well. Probably one of the best Espresso Tonics that I've had.
The Food: Currently pastries (both savory and sweet) are available and from Auspicious Bakery. You can't really go wrong with the quality of Auspicious and they have been really prolific in the Savannah cafe scene. I had the quiche which is always a good bet if you want something more substantial. They also just began offering "Shareables" which look like different Brie plates with various toppings. It's a unique idea that I haven't seen before. They start serving those at Noon. It looks like the full list of food options are still in development so I'll definitely update when more is available.
Overall I really enjoy Origin and I plan on coming this way regularly. As someone who is generally wary of businesses that use crowdfunding (due to past Savannah businesses) I admit I was wary at first. However, they clearly put a lot of love, care, and creativity into this place and I have a feeling it will remain successful.

I LOVE COFFEE.
My family has been in the business since 2019 & I have worked in coffee on and off for about five years.
Origin coffee has made some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. They roast beans in house, have the BEST staff, & house the most authentic and welcoming space.
I regularly come throughout the week between classes & they have never failed to make the perfect cup.
Shoutout to Rachel for making the best one yet!!! 💗💗💗
