Stopped in for some takeaway. Took quite a while. The BLT was delicious though. The sweet potato chips were ok but my daughter loved the fries. Bartender was friendly.

Great southern style food in a bright, casual atmosphere. The jalapeno cornbread is a must! The service was friendly, attentive, and well timed. The restaurant is in a vibrant area surrounded by shops, restaurants, and theaters. There is outdoor seating for use in good weather. Definitely a place to stop for a bite when visiting Rome, GA.

Visiting the area for a wedding, our hotel suggested Harvest Moon Cafe for dinner and I'm so glad they did. Cute resteraunt with the most delicious food. In a cute small downtown with lots of cool things to see, so be sure to go for a walk around town when you are done.
As for our food we ordered the wicked pimino dip to start. Tortilla chips seemed to be made in house as you could still see the oil on them. The dip was different than anything I tried before, initially it didn't look very appetizing as the oil was collecting at the top of the dip (if there there paper napkins I would have blotted it off). It was better when we stirred it up, though I think it probably should have been served hotter as you could not "dip" the chips, it would not stick to the chip. It was tasty though and I don't usually like pimento anything. You just had to scoop n drop dip with the spoon that was in the dip. I ordered fried catfish, cheese grits and sweet potato chips. I asked if the greens they serve had ham or bacon in it as I really like it that way but was told they get a lot of vegetarian's so they don't cook their greens or beans with meat. The catfish was delightful, light n airy with a great cornmeal batter. Not oily or fishy as catfish can often be. My hubby even said it was good and he usually hates catfish. The cheese grits were great texture and flavor. Sweet potato chips were ok just not my favorite. Hubby had the meatloaf garlic mashed potatoes and green beans (which were served in a tomato n onion broth. My hubby had never had them that way and thought he found gold). Service was excellent and our server was busy as a bee but still very personable. Defiantly make Harvest Moon one of your stops in town. Also be sure to stop at the bakery right next door they also had super yummy items.
Thanks for a great visit and meal

We recently hosted our son and his fiancé’s rehearsal dinner in the “Moon River Room” at Harvest Moon Cafe. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. Paige took care of the details for us, and Becky, the lead server, was simply amazing! We will definitely be patronizing this restaurant during our visits to see our son and daughter in law in the future!

Staff are extremely friendly, relaxed and helpful. I wasn’t blown away by the food or the choices on the menu, it wasn’t terrible just not my type of food.

Stopped here for lunch. Really nice place and was seated immediately. Lots of choices on the menu. I ordered the BLT which you can see from the pictures it’s more than just bacon, lettuce, tomato. It also had fried green tomatoes, a lot of thick bacon, and a very tasty chipotle Mayo. Also came with some great fries. Service was ok, I think my waitress was maybe spread a little thin and a waiter brought my drink about 10 minutes after they brought my food which was a little frustrating. Other than that great place and would go back.

Great spot in downtown Rome. Meat and 3 on steroids! The meatloaf is amazing. We had all kinds of sides and sampled off each other's plates. They were are loaded with that goodness and soul found only in the South. Beer selection was good, and service was good. Would definitely return if I'm in the area

I enjoyed the atmosphere. Nice spot in historic downtown Rome has that old town feel. The appetizers were delicious, try the fried green tomatoes or the pimento cheese dip. The catfish is also good. Sides were okay. Prices were reasonable; on par with a small town downtown restaurant. Additional parking in the back.

The service here was EXCELLENT. The food was so delicious. We will definitely return. They created a special dish for my husband & we highly recommend it be added to the menu.

Very good service. Our waiter got us seated immediately after coming in and got us drinks soon after. The food did not take very long to come out (around 15 minutes) and it was very good. I highly recommend the French fries and Reuben.
