This place is absolutely AMAZING! I don't think I've ever been in a strip center coffee shop that I was impressed with. Usually you lose so much of your ambiance as a coffee shop in a strip center, but when you walk into this place you still get the feel and smell of a unique coffee shop. And this is family owned— people of color, which is rare, and l ❤️that! They bake their own goodies and offer gluten free options. I had a sweet potato muffin with dark chocolate chunks, pecans, and a cinnamon-sugar topping. It's like sweet potato soufflé in a muffin, only better. The espresso macchiato with almond milk was genuine with hand-pulled shots. So yummy! This is a special place! So glad we stopped. #coffee #coffeetime #localcoffeeshop #thousandhills #goodeats #goodeatsatlanta

It's a nice spot. This area definitely needed a spot like this. I got an americano which is not on the menu but should be and is my go to drink for tasting coffee. It's was OK 2/5 the crema was good but the body was relatively bland and flat. Starbucks makes a better americano. I think the ratio between water and Expresso was off. It has a nice atmosphere good interior design. There is no wifi yet I guess. I didn't try the pastries but they smell good. The owner did give me the coffee on credit because I forgot my wallet which was really cool.

It’s everything I love about traditional cafe drinks and hand made pastries. Along with the family owned atmosphere this place really hits the spot. Thank you beans and butter for bringing such an amazing place to our community!

My husband and I accidentally found this place a few weeks ago. We were so excited to see a small business coffee shop in our town that we immediately turned around and went in. We were greeted by the owners in such a friendly way that I felt like family. We ordered an americano and they made it to order for us. I have been drinking Starbucks americano for years but it is so bitter by the end of the cup that I can never finish it. The fair trade coffee used at Beans and Butter is delicious! I drank every bit of it and wished there was more! I love seeing this family making their own pastries in house rather than opening up a pre-packaged treat like Starbucks uses. This is a lovely coffee house and I am delighted to have them in Snellville. I have already become a frequent customer and look forward to years of americano and other beverages with friends in this family run business! Best wishes to you guys!

Best coffee shop in Lawrenceville, hands down. As a barista myself, I can tell when people know their coffee, and Olivia and everyone there really know their coffee. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the interior design borders feng shuei, every visit is almost therapeutic. If you're looking for classic coffee and a place to relax, look no further.

Such a cute coffee shop! I've already been there a couple of times and the coffee was good every time. Everyone who works there is super nice! Love that they finally have a good coffee shop in the area.

Visited for the first time this morning. I will not be back. I asked your typical first visit questions.....pointing at the menu on the wall asking if that was the only menu since it only listed drinks? I was wanting food as well. Again, i asked pointing at the few sweet pastries if thats all they had? The young lady at the register answered yes. Not offering any other information. Later i saw other items being brought out like a quiche or something along those lines. I settled for a slice of banana bread and a large vanilla latte. The coffee was great. The bread was just ok. I didnt even eat half of it. Not worth my $6.
I was meeting a friend on my rare day off. She too had never been. She had a little trouble ordering her coffee because she had never been there. She decided on a macchiato. Asked about caramel but was told no and then the same young cashier quickly rattled off the flavors. Well once she got her small.....very small coffee she didn't like it and they kindly offered to make her a vanilla latte. But we felt like they were snickering behind our backs. While we were there a large group came in and asked if it would be ok to move a table and chairs. The other women said sure but her face was not happy about it. Once my friend and i left, we over heard the workers say im glad to see them leave as we were walking out the door.
Really?? Nope. Will not be back and its a shame because i try hard to support local places over chains.

I went there for the first time the coffee was a bitter but the banana bread was really good. The staff/ management there is very courteous and friendly. My only suggestion is I would extend the hours of operation and maybe keep it open till later in the evening rather than close at 6 most days. I will definitely go there again
