Just visiting for a few weeks and this is the best food I've had in town. On top of that, it's extremely reasonable on prices. All the food was full of flavor and didn't taste old or stale. I could taste the diabetes in the sweet tea.

The food is fantastic. The only issue was the service. We went on November 17 at around 5pm. The server did not get our drinks until after we had been sitting there for awhile. She was busy talking to a couple at a another table. Then she stood there and talked to her friends for the rest of the time we were there. She never checked on us or offered us refills on our drinks.
Edit; We have been back a couple times now and the service has been fantastic.

I had fried chicken, cabbage, dressing, & a small side of jambalaya that should have been a large! Needless to say I drove from Savannah,Ga. I was more than satisfied. The portions, speedy in & out service, the overall quality and the price you pay well worth it. I’m from Indiana and this the southern cooking I been looking for!! Thank you for a mouth watering meal! Smelled great and the taste matched!

Food is pretty good but not the best I've had also depending on the day you go. Fried chicken is not consistent, sometimes is fried properly, sometimes not. They have some real good side options.

AMAZING FOOD! Staff is very friendly and welcoming too, it's well worth the drive out of your way to visit this place. Chicken and dumplings were absolutely the best I've ever had (Don't tell my grandma!)
