Izola's Country Cafe

This place is a hit or miss nowadays. The food use to be great and worth it. Lately it has been a bit off. They do on the other hand have some good cabbage and string beans. I would buy a plate of just that.

3/25/22 ordered delivery total order came out to be $70.52. I know with the delivery fee it goes up. I also ordered two meal plates with a large side of green beans and macaroni. Now what I got was not that. I had the smallest portion of green beans and macaroni. Not only that the macaroni was salty. Now if you look at my old pictures those plates were way fuller. Chicken was good that was the only thing worth really eating. The cabbage was burnt as you can see in the picture. I don't know if this was just a bad day or not. This was definitely not their best.

I ate here for the first time. I liked the food, my family did as well. We would definitely come back. The only thing I didnt like was the decor of the place and we were not greeted once coming in. We dined in, but they also have a to-go option as well.

We stopped on our way back to Orlando from a trip to NC because I saw them on tiktok. The food always looked SO GOOD on there and in person, it DID NOT disappoint! Everyone was so friendly and my mother in law who LOVES southern food was a happy camper! We went on a Wednesday, definitely try the meatloaf!! Will be returning when we are around southern Georgia or just passing through!! Totally worth it!

I had bad service today. I came to pick up an online order that was not ready. However the server started fixing my food. An older lady with glasses (didn’t get her name) said no don’t fix her food just the walk-ins first. I was highly offended! I ordered my food before everyone else and she stop the server from fixing my food. The server said I put in my order first and it wasn’t right! I told them to cancel my food because this was wrong and disrespectful. I would not recommend the place because I wasn’t treated fairly and the food is not that good anymore. I was picking up the order for some one else. Also they give you very small portions for the price. It is not worth it. They need to come off their high horse and appreciate every customer no matter who they are!

Now this was a place for me to go a very pleasant atmosphere Pleasant staff great service very pleasant atmosphere and the food was fantastic. This is a must see go when you are passing through if you want a great meal this is where you will get it

We are on vacation and decided to try this place and they did not disappoint the food here is amazing and lemonade was great and the bread pudding was fantastic stop by this place you will not regret it . The Mac and cheese was great the collard greens was amazing and the experience there was great if you want southern cooking then Izola’s is the place to be and everyone there is so friendly and nice . Enjoy your time when you go there when we back in town my husband and I said we will be back worth the hour drive and great continuous to our vacation .

I’ve seen this place on TikTok for a while now and thankfully since I live in Statesboro I’m not too far away, I just made the drive and I have to say the food and service was phenomenal. I’m about to turn around and get more before I leave Hinesville!!! 10/10 spot and I will definitely be back. As someone from Texas I think this is some of the best BBQ/Louisiana style food I’ve ever had. Thank you Izolas!

Rice and gravy and the collards were good. Pinto beans were great. Everything else was average.

Amazing food that tastes homemade. The staff was welcoming, sweet and made you feel at home. My picky eaters loved the food as well.
