This is the spot for classic southern cooking! Great fried chicken and amazing sides. There Baked Beans are some of the best I've ever had. Then you add some funky New Orleans inspired decor and the friendliest staff... definite winner

Great experience this afternoon! My family and I had lunch and enjoyed the buffet. We had the Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, stuffing, fried chicken, and baked chicken, just to name some of the delicious food we had. The price was amazing for the amount of food that we received and the waitress was so personable. The decor was fascinating as well, so much history. I would def recommend!

This is my first time eating here and the food wasn’t horrible just average. Not really a restaurant I would recommend to anyone. The chicken was seasoned good. The dressing or the mashed potatoes did not have enough seasoning on its own but the gravy added some flavor. I also tried their “world famous” Mac and cheese, I would give it a 3/5. I’ve had a lot better. For my first time here the customer service was terrible and was not welcoming when we came in. That’s what threw me off when I walked in and she was rushing us to order. From someone who works in customer service, first impressions are everything and they definitely didn’t make a good one. I hope they take this into consideration.

DW best friend recommended Izola's to us. We arrived early since we didn't know their routine. DW had baked chicken and I had fried porkchop. We both had dumplins, dressing, cornbread & tea.
The dressing was OUTSTANDING!! The owner Glenn (pictured with DW) told us it was a family recipe over 100 years old. He took time to ask how did we enjoy our meal and visit with us.
Our waitress was extra nice and helpful also.
We plan to return next month when we are back in town.

This was my second time coming here. Both times were great. I recommend eat here. Try the fried fish.

The food is so good. They had three types of Mac and cheese. The candied yams is so good. The atmosphere is beautiful, it makes you think of New Orleans with jazz playing in the background The staff go out of their way to make you happy.

IZOLA’s!!!!!!! So good. Drove up to Savannah from Tampa for the weekend for my birthday and we took the hour drive drive to Hinesville just to try this place. Had been seeing their posts on Facebook with all that good food and let me say the videos and pictures do not serve it justice. “Scoop that Mac” was the bomb diggity, seafood Mac was to die for, fried chicken was oh so crispy hot and delicious, collard greens tasted like my Nana made them, mashed potatoes was so creamy and thick, and that bread pudding ugh knock you out good. I may stay in FL but I will be finding an excuse to come back because this place did not disappoint. So if you looking for good southern food this is the place. Don’t walk to it RUN!!!!!

My nephew that is stationed here in Savannah brought us. I would never have tried it on my own, but it sure exceeded all our expectations! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was very interesting Everyone was very nice !

Don't believe the HYPE I was so disappointed the videos on Facebook are deceiving. The bake macaroni was awful. It seems like they make sure everything looks good for the videos and it's terrible. Don't waste your TIME OR MONEY. The best saying to describe this restaurant "everything that glitters isn't gold" it looks good but it's terrible. Dry, salty, or too sweet. The only thing that was good in there was fried chicken and the have flies that sit on the food. Just don't do it!

Unfortunately I stop eating here awhile ago. The food use to be really good. I ordered the fish and it was cold. Seems like all the vegetables has meat in it. As I told my grandma you no longer need meat to season your vegetables now. I order a small plate for my 3 year old and because breakfast Is based off weight I figured it would only be $3.99-$4.99. Remind you I didn't get a drink. No it was $7 for this. Definitely not worth the money.
