Get there early if you're going for breakfast 😋. The wait wasn't bad and it's such a cute little place. They have indoor/outdoor seating. The bakery with German desserts & breads..YUM! The staff were very helpful & friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Definitely a place you need to eat or grab some baked goods to take home, if they make it before you eat them😁

We had to wait for a table but it was well worth it. Delicious. Best German food since I was in Germany. Will definitely go back next time we're in Helen.
I also got cold cuts to take home and enjoy later.

LONG line but worth the wait! Classic, delicious breakfast with quick service. Our server was very nice and accommodating. Be sure to get a few things from their bakery, my favorite is the chocolate croissant! Their website says “Tripadvisor voted one of the best restaurants in the world.” Be sure to stop in and try it!

Heavenly confection comes from this bakery and the Cafe offers fabulous breakfast fare. Small dining area makes for a bit of a wait to dine in...but it IS WORTH THE WAIT. You can shop the bakery, deli, and store that offers packaged German foods and spices, confections and sausages. There's even a gift vault in the back where you can find an array of German or Bavarian-themed steins, salt and pepper shaker sets, shot glasses, etc. A definite must visit when in Helen.

Excellent food and service. Came here after 6+ miles of hiking. Chicken schnitzel cooked perfectly. Sides were hearty and plentiful. Coffee was leagues better than the one at the hotel I was staying at. Torte cake surprisingly light and not as heavy as originally thought (good thing). Will return.

We loved the restaurant food. It was our first time trying German food, so we dont have a frame of reference. Service was prompt. They had an outdoor patio, but they were not serving outside. So we took a takeout.

We also ordered multiple pastries from their bakery..but I didn't like of the pastries

Couldn’t give them the 5 stars… they were not serving breakfast outside, so it was only inside(place is not very big) and the line was pretty long in the morning, and later it gets more and more longer the line.
You have to go early to eat in peace. Another thing is the chairs was sticky, a little cleaning needed.

But then, the breakfast we had was very good! And the service too. So 4 stars for that.
Just be there early and everything will be nice.

Once again, they did not disappoint. Tiny little restaurant that always seats us quickly (we go on a weekday- sat & sun are BUSY). Delicious breakfast this trip. Sad I didn't get to come for lunch or early supper this trip and have my favorite Reuben, but my Pregel & Lox was outstanding! Husband was pleased with his as well and my 4 year old loved the bread and sausage links.

Wonderful breakfast! Loved the Biscuits and Gravy! We don't see bagels and lox very often. So, it had to be ordered too. Loved the cream cake, moist, flavorful, and delicious!

Quaint little bakery/restaurant. Get there early if you want breakfast as the line gets long and there is limited seating. First come, first served. Food was good and there was alot of it. Service was excellent. Parking is limited, as well. This was my second time there and I would go back.
