Rum Cake Lady Cuban Food Downtown Blue Ridge

Discovered this gem while on vacation from Florida. Absolutely the BEST Cuban food in all of GA and TN!!! The lechón was amazing, Cuban sandwiches, media noches and the food bowls are outstanding. If you’re ever craving a piece of home, I highly recommend Rum Cake Lady. They have two locations; we ate at both!!! The owners are so welcoming, it’s like you walked into you mom’s kitchen. We will be back!

This was our second time dining at Rum Cake Lady. Two days before this visit, we went to McCaysville and enjoyed an awesome meal at that Rum Cake Lady location. Each item we tried at both locations was so rich with flavor and prepared to order. The garbanzo stew, ham croquettas, yuca fries, empanadas, and sauces were excellent. This location has more of a hometown restaurant feel with some outdoor dining. We tried the gluten free rum cake and it was so moist and flavorful. Not at all like some gluten free options we have experienced. Give them a try! And they ship cakes too!!😁

Wonderful empanadas. THE BEST pork tamale I have had. We got some rum cakes for thanksgiving and can’t wait to have some. Wonderful happy people

Cubans in the mountains? Rum Cake Lady has you covered!! Sandwich was wonderful! Kids ate ham and cheese on Cuban bread! A first for them. A must eat while in Blue Ridge!!

Visiting from Florida with little hope I would find delicious vegan/vegetarian food. Not only do they offer many options for us herbivores but the food was ABSOLUTELY DELISH!!! I ordered the vegan/vegetarian Cuban sandwich with a side of sweet plantains and Jupina soda. Being Cuban American myself it was true comfort food and loved how they offer Hispanic drinks inside. Thank you SO MUCH for having such a diverse menu and bringing that delicious Cuban flavor to GA :)

Such delicious food!! The Cuban sandwich was fantastic. I’m not a huge fan of sweets either but the rum cake was super moist and tasty. Not to mention very friendly workers that took our order.

This was my first time having Cuban food. I and my family got three different things and they were all very good. Also, they were all large portions. The only negatives are 1) the tables are outside on a covered deck with plastic"walls" (heated), and the parking lot is small and a little dangerous to back out onto the road.

This lil hole in the wall is perfection. The rum cakes are so moist and to die for. The sweet plantains are pure bliss. And the empanadas, some of the best I’ve ever had as they were filled to the brim and moist, yet the outside layer was still crunchy. I’d seriously be in trouble if I lived in the area! Add this to your must-eat while in Blue Ridge!

The food was absolutely delicious. This was the best Cuban sandwich I ever had. The staff was great. I will totally go back, I highly recommend this place

We where here by referral of a local. Came in and purchased the mini muffin rum cakes bites—- and Oh my goodness no regrets! Delicious.
