Café Intermezzo - Avalon

We have been to this cafe multiple times. The place is so popular that you can always expect a wait time of 30-40 minutes on an average. The vibe and the interior decoration is that of a European style cafe.

On this visit, we ordered Cappuccino Italiano, Cappuccino Intermezzo, Hummus with Naan, Seafood Crepe and Scrambled eggs with croissant and potatoes and Cafe Jordano (cold coffee). As always, the coffees were great. We especially liked the seafood crepe dish. The filling was creamy and had shrimp, scallop and crab in it.

We have visited multiple cafe intermezzo locations in Atlanta and this one has the best service and the food and coffee at all the locations is top notch.

There’s a reason this place is always bustling! The food is exquisite and the atmosphere is elegant and delightful. And don’t forget about the welcoming and super helpful staff! In particular, the manager Kara was the BEST! She recommended the espresso martini and alpine coffee with a shot of vanilla vodka. They were absolutely delicious and we will be back again! :)

Always the best. Been going to the one in Buckhead for 20 years. This is always awesome. Awesome day for a hot cappuccino.

Service is poor. Food is... meh. Vibe is great.

We’ve had to wait a long time for the waitress to come around and help us, and it took a long time for her to get us what we need. There’s a random chapter where another server came to our table to take our order but the order was never placed. Our food was already cold before the beverage is served.

Hostess looked unpleasant when we requested to change seat.

Eggs Benedict: muffin was over toasted (more like burnt). Potatoes were salted unevenly. Ketchup tastes cheap - felt like eating at McDonald’s.

The vibe is 10/10. Interior design and theme takes me back to my days in Europe. I just hope that their service and food actually match up.

We came for a quick dessert and we’re not disappointed! Our waitress was amazing! She gave great recommendations and our desserts were delicious! Definitely worth the wait and we will be back!

One of my favorite restaurants! I highly recommend the hummus appetizer and the spicy seafood dip appetizer, you can never go wrong with those! The vibe of the restaurant is so unique and lovely. Staff is very friendly as well. Sit outside on the patio if you can! It makes me feel like I’m on the streets of Paris. ☺️

Quick service even on a busy and beautiful Saturday. Brunch was delicious and the iced coffees with vodka were the perfect way to start the day! 😋

Vintage designed Italian style bakery. Red velvet and hazelnut Cheese cake were delivered. Grabbing a cup of cappuccino and walking around the Avalon in Holiday season was very fun!

Great ambiance and decor. Very European, chic and sophisticated. They have a variety of coffee selections.

This place is usually pretty hopping and I love sitting at the bar with my wife where we can watch the chefs in action. The crepes here are NEXT LEVEL; sweet or savory, you can eat well on one of those!

The coffee can be CRAZY STRONG so be aware if you aren’t used to a stiff cup of Java; they do have an excellent selection of drinks though that cover the full spectrum from butter to dessert.

Save room for dessert as they’ve got an AMAZING selection of cakes to choose from; my personal favorite so far was the chocolate cherry cheesecake!
