A cute little spot with some mixed vibes in service…
Coffee is a cultural connection and has become a way of life within this. The best part of waking up…
That said, and maybe it was just me being eager to try out a new coffee spot but walking into Rio Coco I was pretty excited… and maybe a pinch tired (but hey that’s what coffee is for right?).
Upon walking in the shop has a low key vibe, some older regulars hanging out chit chatting in east coast accents. All’s calm and collected.
I stumble along to find where I can see the menu and where I place my order. From this I realize I haven’t been greeted yet… I pay no more thoughts about it past that the 4 young ladies behind the counter seem busy ( heads down to the grindstone).
I find a menu and start looking it over.
Door opens and an older man walks up to my left, the main young lady behind the counter cheers out “Hey (so and so… insert generic names sake here)” followed by some back and forth interactions.
All and all… and so this review doesn’t turn into a 150 page novella.
The community here seems great from a regulars point of view, but I felt as if I was not getting that same experience in being a first time patron.
Alongside service seemed to take a hot minute (all be it I did order a quad espresso) ,“Joja” which was pretty good. Perhaps a bit of interaction or banter could have set the scene a bit better and made the coffee that much sweeter.
As the shirt for sale right in front of the service counter implied… “coffee is the drink of friendship”.

A fun Christian coffee shop in downtown Vero Beach! The Coco Moco is one of the signature drinks. The hint of coconut with the chocolate really hits the spot. The banana bread was a nice addition to the coffee. The shop is very busy and you can tell that the locals love this place. There is plenty of free parking around.

Best coffee in town! Great staff and amazing food! Also the tropical wave smootie blew my mind! Will definitely be back with friends!

Great coffee, amazing carrot cake, the food is enjoyable and fresh (but nothing super inspiring, not that it needs to be). Seating can be an issue unless you like cozying up next to someone you don't know. It's never been very crowded when I've been there, but mix of larger tables, chairs and sofas means you'll likely end up sitting right next to someone. I realize that makes me sound very antisocial, but I feel compelled to have a conversation with someone if we're sitting together, and sometimes I'm not in the mood. :-/ A few more one or two person options would be great. But definitely overall a great spot, and one I'll continue to revisit.

Coffee was very good. Scone was good. But had to wait 10 minutes to get a cold brew after I got my scone and paid. And there was no line. It was late morning and all seats were taken when I walked in but cleared out by the time I ordered. Staff was not very friendly.

We had such a delightful experience at Rio Coco cafe today. What a beautiful coffee shop with an even more beautiful mission! The staff is super welcoming & kind! We will be returning every time we are in the area. You cannot (and should not) go to Vero Beach without visiting this shop!

Best coffee and coffee shop vibe in town! Staff are friendly and service is great. Where else can you get a great cup of coffee, super tasty baked goods (even some healthier options..lol), and support a worthy mission all at the same time? God bless Rio Coco!

Good coffee, but there’s limited seating — 16 people, not great for working, but it’s better suited to meeting friends. Disappointed they close at 2 on Saturdays because it seems like a cool place. I got here at 1 pm. Would have liked to stay longer. :-) And the desserts looked amazing. Stupid diet!

There food is all delicious. Their Coffe that they roast their own beans is the best. The flavor is awesome. Won't buy store coffee ever again!

My boyfriend and I went in for breakfast. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. The place is small but has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. I had a smoothie, he had an ice coffee and we shared the quiche of the day. Everything was tasty and made with high quality ingredients. He liked the coffee so much he bought a bag to take home. It's nice to know the money we spent goes to a good cause. And it's family owned and operated.
