A delicious lunch at a hefty price.
Went there for the Rueben. What I got was a tasty sandwich at the perfect temperature, a good proportion of melted cheese and kraut, humble but well-made rye, and a handful of artisanal chips with just the right amount of seasoning - and a check that seemed to be for a meal about a third again as large as the one I ate.
Don't get me wrong - the food, service, and environment were all lovely. It's just that the price puts the experience outside what I would have considered for lunch. If the meal ended up around $12, I would have considered this place about perfect.

We went in for breakfast. We took meat pies and pancakes with cottage cheese and meat. Deliciously delicious! In addition, a very cozy atmosphere, friendly waiters, a charming owner of the cafe. We will definitely come again and again. I recommend this cafe to everyone and give it the highest score.

I finally got to visit this cute European cafe, and let me tell you it's soo good!! I came in and could already feel the warm cozy vibes, the aroma of fresh ground coffee filled the early morning air. I was quiet surprised a cafe is open during such early hours. I wont lie it took me a bit of time to order just because there were so many deliciously tempting options đ but I did stop on the freshly made brownies and I did not regret itđđ. Am I going to come back? YES!! And I recommend that everyone else checks out this place as well!

Very good breakfast and lunch specials. Fresh and tasty meals/salads. We have enjoyed consistently good food. The coffee is amazing . Just come and try. You will fall in love with this cute cafe/deli immediatly.

The food is fantastic albeit it on the pricey side. You don't really go here for a full meal, but rather the experience of getting something truely delicious.
I feel bad about saying this, but I've tried the coffee several times (black, iced, Turkish, afogato) and unfortunately I CAN NOT recommend it with the exception of the Afogato... but even then, it's so incredibly small for the price I can't fully recommend it.
There really needs to be more cold, iced, or frozen options. This is Florida after all.
Fortunately there are plenty of other drinks to chose from, including Kvas!

Iâll begin by saying that I would love for this restaurant to do well. There is a tremendous need for restaurants in the area with quick, healthy options for lunch.
The concept here is a French coffee/sandwich cafe, and Mon Ami is executing on that concept about 50%. If they donât step it up, I predict in 6 months they will be gone.
Food quality is generally good. I had a reuben sandwich with a meaningful amount of meat, not overdone with kraut and good bread. The soup of the day was enjoyable.
The menu is extremely limited. This is OK if it is executed well, but I donât see anything here that would say âwow - this is unique,â that would make me crave going here because I just have to eat that one special item. They need some showstoppers on the menu. At the same time, take into account the local business community looking for lunch spots. I would create a sub-category within the menu of affordable lunch items that are quick and filling specifically for this audience.
Itâs also expensive. A sandwich with cup of soup and bottle of water set me back nearly $20. This would have to be a splurge meal, not something I could do daily.
There is no alcohol - and a French cafe w/o wine is disappointing to say the least. Maybe this is coming.
The girl working at the front was very polite and friendly. She helped me navigate the menu, and was very sweet when cleaning up the table. A+ on this hire. I did not meet who I assume to be the owner, as he stayed hidden most of the time.
My biggest critique is the atmosphere. It fails to inspire in any way. Itâs not bad a bad look and feel, but itâs not good either. It feels like someone went to HomeGoods and picked out some nice tasteful decorations. It doesnât feel personal. It doesnât feel authentic.
Furthermore, this restaurant has an overabundance of security cameras. Iâve never seen so many in such a small place, and the screen to see them is right behind the counter. The entire time I sat down, I felt like I was being watched. The absolute opposite of a warm, friendly atmosphere that I would expect to experience at a French Cafe. These need to be scaled back and more hidden.
I would suggest tastefully expanding on the decor. Maybe showcase family pictures from France, or unique artifacts that feel distinctly European and not mass produced. Make me excited about your pastries. Build a beautiful display overflowing with macarons with beautiful gift boxes that I could buy to bring my wife.
PLAY Music. It looks like they are set up for live music in the evenings, which is great. The restaurant was empty today at lunch except for one other table, and it felt depressing to say the least.
There are some good examples of this concept in the area. The owners should spend hours dining in places like Câest La Vie in Sarasota, or Cafe Longet here in Venice. Study how they are executing on their concepts, and bring best practices to your business.
Please, please deliver an experience. Build a personal connection with your customers and get into the restaurant and not stuck behind the counter. That is how you will get consumers to come back and be here for years to come. We want you to succeed. We want what you can offer. You just have to give it to us.

Will go again, and again I and my hubby only popped in to get take-away cappuccinos, and a quick bite , but I was struck by how friendly the service was. They have great falafel and farm fresh salads are amazing The cappuccinos were wonderful too! And very well priced, We are Monami addicts now, every other day we buy fresh baked bread, and every morning coffee and warm buttery croissants and light healthy lunch , take out dinners of fresh homemade soups and meats. No more food shopping for me, my time is dedicated for work, and good times, Monami solved my what to eat and where to eat, problems YAY ! Good Job and many thanks Mon Ami

As a natural enthusiast of coffee coming from the European/Slavic culture myself, I was ushered by several individuals who stopped into this CafĂ© and they described the boutique as an ânew insightful and inspiring taste of Europe.â I havenât personally ventured into this restaurant/cafĂ© myself but reading these highly-appraised reviews and personally as well having experiences/connections with the staff outside the professional sphere, I can definitely hands-down state I will be making a pit-stop into this cafĂ© myself for the first time soon! If it wasnât for the highly professional and polite staff members of the first names (Nicole and Kate), I wouldnât known this little shop and hopefully soon push myself to stop in soon. Amazing staff members inside and outside of the shop as well as the tempting dishes described by cafĂ© on-goers.

Highly recommend. My wife and I stopped in for a quick lunch and had the most delicious homemade soup and shared a sandwich. Everything was fresh and delicious!!
