I went there today to meet some friends. The inside was spacious with seating for individuals/work bar and table seating for groups.
We were greeted right away. The Staff was helpful and knowledgeable.
My cappuccino with oat milk was so good, I didn’t even need sugar. I had a delicious toasted guava/cheese pastry too; the portion was big enough to share.
I’m going to stop by again soon.

After making my rounds through the coffee purveyors of the Tampa Bay area for nearly 20 years, I'm done. I've made my decision. The Lab gets the crown.

This unassuming, easy to miss location puts out the absolute highest quality product in a few distinct areas that are near and dear to my heart:

#1 - Dirty Chai Latte - This is always my beverage of choice, but nobody does it half as well as the Lab. I visited twice this week and there was no difference in the absolute deliciousness I got in this drink. Not just in Tampa, but probably the best dirty chai I've had in my travels around America.
#2 - Espresso - In some ways this is a hard one to screw up, but at the Lab it's just a little bit better. They typically have at least a couple different varieties available, and the waitstaff is knowledgeable about the nuances in each.
#3 - Food - The selections here are not very extensive (and I'd love to see the breakfast flatbread back on the menu!) but what they do, they do with precision quality and in just the right sized helping for my taste.

In terms of ambiance, this is an urban adjacent hideout with a low key industrial feel. There are cozier places in the city, but in my opinion they don't hold a candle to the quality level here.

Very cute, small cafe and roastery. Everyone I talked to was super friendly even though the 2 baristas were pretty busy. Not a lot of parking but it wasn't too bad

Their drip is excellent and tastes almost like chocolate. Didn't get their food but it looked really good and I'll try it next time.

Attention Australians visiting Tampa! Highly recommend this place. My flat white was delicious and the barista was absolutely lovely. We will definitely come back for the duration of our stay.

Cute coffee shop in the neighborhood, so glad we finally stopped in. Ordered a chai latte, iced pour over, bagel sandwich and the hangover cure flatbread (pictured). Everything was delicious! The flatbread was huge, only half is pictured and they make their dough for it in-house. The baristas were so nice and helpful when we had questions about the menu. Lots of good indoor seating for anybody looking for a spot to work or hang and they have a cute outdoor patio with umbrellas and plenty of sun or shade. Highly recommend stopping in for a visit!

I was looking for a coffee place for the Saturday morning and came across The Lab Tampa. The lab Tampa is a cool coffee place with amazing decor and different coffee options as well as breakfast options. For the coffee i ordered nitro cold brew and for a quick bite i ordered Greek Sammy. The coffee was quick. It is a black coffee without sugar and milk. One can customize it according to one's priority. It was one of the best black coffee I had. I also got the Greek Sammy in 10 minutes. It is a bagel with the greek flavor. Loved that too.

Would definitely have to come back another time but earlier to really enjoy this place! Loved how in the bathroom they make it accessible with these menstrual products! You have no idea how inconvenient it is at times and to have it be provided and easy assess is French kiss moment right here ❤️

Solid coffee place. Had the latte and nitro brew and hangover pizza. The food felt healthier and not too greasy/overdone. They even got a patron there that swears by their coffee

Like a warm embrace from a friend you’ve missed for too long, the aroma of roasting coffee beans greets you as you exit your vehicle in the parking lot. Hidden away behind rising new construction and industrial warehouses sits a neighborhood gem. A secret amongst those who quietly pass by those chain purveyors and corporate roasters in search of coffee worthy to come from a place with a name like The Lab.
