The Grind Coffee Bar and Cafe

We are regulars at this locally owned gem, and we love it! The staff is friendly, and the food is consistently the highest quality. The house made chicken salad sandwich is delicious and the turkey cranberry sandwich is also a family favorite. The atmosphere is charming, clean and the owners always go out of their way to make us feel welcome! The Grind is one of our favorite restaurants in Tampa Bay.

We love The Grind for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee break. The food is terrific and always tastes great. Take out is always right. Dining in, the place is super clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Overall, a happy experience!

The food was ok. It tasted like it was pre-cooked and then reheated when an order was placed. Staff was polite, but not overly friendly. Outdoor seating is cramped and you get all the exhaust fumes from parked cars that are running, while owners are in businesses.

Update: apparently this business owner isn't a fan of bad reviews and wanted to berate me about it online. That isn't a good way to deal with customers who weren't happy. The food wasn't good, plain and simple. Berating me online because you didn't like my review makes you seem immature and childish. Not a good sign from a business owner. The only reason I wrote a review is because Google promoted me, otherwise I just wasn't eating there again.

Always an excellent experience at The Grind! Amy and her crew create an atmosphere that is inviting and definitely like no other cafe I have been to over my many years of traveling the country for work and trying most cafes I had come across. Dan and Ansley are the BEST!! Keep up the fabulous work!

Always my favorite spot for lunch. I don't drink or like coffee or tea but great service and friendly staff and great food options. I can never leave without getting a grinde bar because they are so delicious. Sometime I wish they were open later so I could get their food after 4 for dinner!

From a quality of coffee/food standpoint absolutely awesome. Full context, the last time we were in town our experience was great. This time, not so much. Stopped by to get takeout and was told a 20-30min wait. After an hour wait we followed up on an ETA, and we were 20min from getting food. So we left and got refunded for the food. I was just surprised that we didn’t get a full refund (including coffee) if only as a reimbursement for the inconvenience. Again, great food/coffee and this was just one experience of the 4 total. But just surprised when companies aren’t more willing to take that extra step when their service is below par.

The Grind Coffee bar has excellent food clean and friendly environment, just a delightful experience.

The food is awesome. I always get the chipotle chicken Sammy with the potato salad also they have the best bacon EVER. The staff are super friendly and the prices for the food is very affordable. This place never misses! 11/10

Our entire family loves this coffee shop! Not only are the coffee drinks awesome, but they also have delicious food with gluten free options (they will substitute with gluten free bread, and there are gluten-free "Grind Bars", muffins, pastries, and cookies in addition to the "regular" baked goodies). Even our extended family members visiting from out of state insist on coming to The Grind on each trip to Tampa!

This bakery has great potential, but I believe they are not taking care of it as they should. Visited on Saturday the 16th of July. Waitresses in a bad mood, bad food and very expensive.
The coffee tastes so bad. The avocado on my sandwich was green and hard. My daughter's pancake came raw and with only 3 chocolate chips.
The cashier was the only kind person.
