Cheap food at a premium price. Potatoes were way overcooked. Bacon seemed like it was cooked prior to me walking in the door. $2.50 for a tiny portion of fruit.
Cool atmosphere and good espresso. Friendly staff with great attitudes.
More people need to know about this gem! The food is always fresh and tasty. Brunch on the weekends and lunch during the week, there is always something great to eat. They also just started serving Donut Kingdom donuts, which are some of the best in Tallahassee. Great with a hot cup of coffee!
This was by far one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The owner, Don, was working the entire restaurant by himself to limit potential COVID-19 exposure from employees to customers. I ordered the Sophia Loren (see photos on Yelp Review) and it was the best pressed-sandwich that I’ve ever eaten! It came with a side of roasted potatoes and I added cheese for a $1 upcharge. My two roommates ordered the Tomato Landwich and the Tennessee Williams Overall: highly recommend this restaurant to grab a coffee and enjoy a delicious brunch.
The coffee and service were both great, but the Lox bagel made my partner and I both feel ill. It also had a very fishy odor that left a residue on our hands for hours.
It's terrible! (Actually, I am just saying that so that my new favorite cafe doesn't get found by the crowds. That way I can have it all to myself. The turkey salad salad was fresh and delicious.
A great addition to Midtown! Jason and his crew of Journeyman Coffee have finally put down roots in the old location of Spaceport, the speakeasy bar attached to Waterworks. To spice up the coffee scene in Tallahassee, Jason brings in a different roaster’s coffee every few weeks and teaches you the depth of variety and flavors that coffee can have. And now Jason’s coffee joins Waterwork’s menu in a perfect partnership, called The Hideaway. The new café offers a growing menu of breakfast dishes, like bagel and lox, frittata, and waffles, with more items to come in the new few weeks. Complimenting Waterwork’s retro tiki bar décor, The Hideaway is painted in pink/green diamonds and decorated with globe lights. If you plan to hang out for a while, there is wifi and a patio to bring your dog. Overall, I love what Jason brings to Tallahassee’s coffee scene and will be so excited to see The Hideaway grow!

Grabbed some takeout and we were not disappointed! The Sophia Loren sandwich was delicious and every item on the classic breakfast plate was a hit.
