RACIST ESTABLISHMENT
Very unpleasant customer service from the guy with the dark hair. Caught an attitude when I asked if he had gloves when he reached in the case to retrieve the cookies that I ordered. Promising me that he washes his hands is not reassuring amongst a pandemic in the same establishment that required you to have a mask on to place an order. I'm pretty sure he doesn't like indegenous people by the way he handled the brown skinned women that came in after me. Just very unpleasant experience after spending hundreds of dollars with this place. Would not recommend if he's working there.

Wonderful vegan affair with great atmosphere and outdoor seating. Food was absolutely delicious and was worth the price!

Honestly SUCH good food! Sweet potatoe fries are perfecto and they really know how to tofu!! Incredible flavors. I just can not stand their crazy insane mask mandates and fears around all this especially now that so much is lifted. (They even require masks when eating outside). Wishing we had good fearless vegan places!

Great little vegan restaurant there aren't too many options around Tallahassee. This place was also recommended to us by someone that eats meat so you know it's good!

Great vegan options with a fun daily creative lunch special. Stellar weekend brunches and good coffee.

I typically wait a few visits before rating a place, but Sweet Pea is good enough to get the five stars right away.
I had the special lentil burger and fries. The burger was a revelation. Most veggie burgers just taste "fried." With this one, I could actually taste the lentils - in a good way. The lentils totally went with the spicy vegan mayo, and the lettuce, tomato, and onion were all perfect.
The fries were similar: I don't remember other fries tasting so potato-y. The flavor just came through.
The vegan pastries and desserts look great. I tried the vegan, gluten-free Rocky Road brownie, and it was good, if not as amazing as the burger.
I hope I get a chance to go back soon. I can't imagine any vegetarian being disappointed, and I think most meat-eaters would still find it an enjoyable meal.

I come here at least 3x a week! The specials and bakery case are always very creative. I also appreciate that they use a lot of locally sourced ingredients and have GF options. My only complaint would be around the very militant mask policy but I'll wear the mask for a few minute if it means I get to enjoy the food :P

Traveling on the road from NJ to Austin. It's really been a mission finding good vegan/vegetarian restaurants. Who would have thought it would be in Tallahasse! The tempeh sandwich with hummus and salad was absolutely delicious. I really appreciate you Sweet Pea Cafe and wish you loads and loads of business
We hope to check out more of the menu tomo :)

Best vegan food. They are only doing takeout now, and I love the sustainable containers. Every item on the menu I've tried has been amazing. Black bean burger is tasty. Definitely recommend the sweet potato fries as the side, they are perfect.

I went in 45 minutes to closing for a hot chai latte. I was told the only option I had was to get a cold one because the machine to make it had already been cleaned for the night. I had a very long day and was so looking forward to that latte as a pick me up because my day was far from over. I could’ve easily gone to Starbucks, but I intentionally chose a local business and cleaning the machine 45 minutes before closing was unthoughtful. If you want a latte, just go to Vino Beano instead. That’s what I’ll be doing moving forward because with my food allergies, there’s nothing I can eat at Sweet Pea anyway.
