Sweet Pea Cafe

A local favorite. I must have been at least a dozen times. Quick service, reasonable prices, and a solid menu. They have expanded it over time as certain specials have become staple menu options. Hard to beat the Tempeh Reuben but the buffalo tofu sandwich and burger are close seconds. They also source locally, organically, and fair trade, not to mention they recycle and compost. This place is a gem.

This place is amazing. I was in town for the week for work and got dinner here every night. Really nice vegan take out restaurant. The rueben on a gluten free tortilla was out of this world. Best vegan rueben I’ve ever had. Thank you for the great food all week and thank you for your attention to health and community during these challenging times. The next time I am In Tallahassee this is where I will be eating.

I ordered my husband’s birthday cake from Sweet Pea Cafe. I was worried about him liking it. So, just to be safe, I ordered another classic Hummingbird cake from another awesome pastry chef. We had a blind taste test & Sweet Pea’s cake was the unanimous winner for taste, complexity of flavour and texture. Sweet Pea’s is the taller one on the left. Wow!

Initially service was great and the food was good as well. I ordered sweet potato fries and three falafel‘s. But because I was ordering with a friend later I saved some sweet potato fries in a to go box.

When my friend and I went up to order someone clean the table and took my to go box and threw it away. I had about 10 fries left in it. When I told the individual at the counter about it she said they would not replace it because she was told there was only four fries left.

This was really upsetting because I paid for them, left a tip and I ordered twice. It is really discouraging for me to come back again. This was my first time coming and I felt like I was cheated.

Amazing food and wonderful service! We had a Reuben and Buffalo sandwich, carrot ginger slaw, and Poutine. Everything vegan, everything amazing!

I just have to shout out the baked goods here - I got a chocolate chip cookie that was one of the best I’ve had in a long time, it had the perfect texture and flavor. I also got an iced chai that was great as well. The staff here is also really lovely and friendly :)

Rude workers and terrible customer service. Fries were burnt - basically black. I got the buffalo tofu sandwich and it was DRENCHED in buffalo sauce. The globs of sauce made the tofu unrecognizable. If you’re looking for a good vegan place in Tally, “The Bark” will not disappoint!!

So happy we stopped here when passing through. It's one of the only all vegan restaurants in Tallahassee and I was no disappointed. Everything was delicious and the staff was super nice at this hole in the wall joint!!

We visited on a rainy and cool day for a late lunch. It was nice to have so many vegan options. We ordered the Tempeh Ruben and the Falawesome (falafel wrap). They were both delicious. The soft brown bread of the ruben was so good, I asked where they got it. It also has a bright red slaw that was wonderful. Both sandwiches were larger than we could eat at once so we finished them for dinner. There are a few small tables inside with the small kitchen but plenty of tables outside on the covered patio. Bathrooms are also outside.

Great food with a obvious focus on sustainability and veganism. Can't recommend enough. Get a plate of food and before you leave get some pastries to go.
