Grassroots Kava House

They took the concept of the local kava bar and transformed it into a modern and chic downtown hang out. This place is complete with all the best vibes, and the upstairs offers an incredible work space and an awesome outdoor patio overlooking downtown St. Pete. All of their drinks are delicious- they have everything from coffee, tea, kava, kratom and kombucha. I love going here and would highly recommend you check it out too!

Found this place this morning and LOVED it! I live in Ybor and it’s so cute and chill inside! The girl that was working was so sweet and helpful, didn’t get her name but she had cute pink hair! Definitely making this my go to coffee spot (:

Amazing spot for coworking upstairs

The stars are really in the service staff, who are simply amazing. Friendly, patient, quick, and informative. It's a cozy place with a cozier upstairs and balcony. Great place to drink your Kava and study upstairs, or laugh and enjoy downstairs. This is a great community.

Really cool place, low key and chill, but also lively and entertaining. Live music even on a Wednesday night. Owner gave us free drinks to start off our first time kava experience and recommended other awesome cocktails. Our friend said that the quality of the kava was really good in comparison to any other place she had been in town. Friendly, helpful staff, really cool atmosphere and overall a very enjoyable place to spend a couple hours with friends if getting drunk at a bar, not being safe to drive home and dealing with loud obnoxious people just isn't what your looking for. Highly recommend to locals and tourists alike.

Love this place! Great vibe. Great drinks. Chill staff. Been to other Kava spots and they are not this. No one crashed out sleeping on couches in this establishment like I've seen in some others. Their K mules are kickass. Great assortment of CBD baked goods. They're working on opening in Seminole Heights. Can't wait.

Ben and Elizabeth are great. Took the time to explain the different types of kava and kratom; as this was our first time feeling totally welcomed. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great experience.

I love this place. Such a great vibe. Every time I go in people are friendly and open, willing to give you recommendations or just chat while you're in line or drinking your kava/kratom/tea /coffee. Lots of variety and they also have some great yoga classes. Will definitely be visiting here more often in the future.

Some of the staff are the kindest people ever, but one consistently harasses me about how I order when I have social anxiety disorder so it's harder for me to go places and order things. Every time he is my bartender I have a bad experience because he is rude and closed-minded, forcing gender roles on me and my friend just because she is a girl when we both tell him to stop. However, they do have the strongest Kratom around and an amazing upstairs lounge which brings me back.

What a great place to relax and enjoy with Kratom, Kava, tea, coffee! The energy here is one of a kind; filled with all kinds of positive, happy, relaxing vibes. And the dogs that bring their humans here, are the perfect touch!
