Great coffee, tea and frozen drinks, within walking distance of everything in downtown St. Augustine! Tied for best coffee in the Old City, with an extensive menu of drinks, both hot and cold, and snacks. The shop is very small and sometimes there is a bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it! Looking for something unique? Try the Milky Way Mocha! If you're in St. Augustine, check out Crucial Coffee - you won't be disappointed!

This location is Under New Management and I am happy to report the new management are very friendly and always seem happy to meet customers face-to-face. They really do enjoy the work they do, and take pride in the facilities they keep including the garden and outdoor sitting area. I've always been a fan of this coffee hut for its wide selection of teas and coffees as well as its desserts selections, and will gladly continue to be a customer in the future.

Best coffee I've ever had. I would've given this place 5 stars but the wait was outrageously long. I think that management should look into making this place run more efficiently. Anyhow, the delicious coffee was definitely worth the wait. My mom, sister, and I ordered a plain coffee with milk. OMG, I am still dreaming about the delicious taste. My mom won't stop raving about it either. We cannot wait to go back to St. Augustine to drink it again.

My husband, daughter, and I visited St. Augustine for the first time the last weekend in June. Our first day there we walked past this neat looking coffee shop and decided to go there for breakfast the following morning. We ordered 3 muffins and my husband got a coffee. All 3 muffins had mold on them! So I took them back up to the counter and the girl working was very nice and apologetic and refunded me for the muffins as well as the coffee. She asked if she could get us anything else that she promised wouldn't have mold but I said no thanks and we went somewhere else. I'm giving this place 2 stars because my husband said the coffee was good, the girl working was very nice, and it's a cute little place. I just wouldn't recommend ordering food from here.

We had breakfast next door while visiting St. Augustine, and they served us coffee from Crucial Coffee Cafe. It was so bold and delicious I thought it was cappuccino! By far, the best, best coffee I have ever tasted. We took two pounds home with us. I wish they would enable a website/capability to ship coffee because I would be hooked! The service is great and the place is adorable and eclectic with sooooo much character!

Aesthetics of the place are great, but that’s about it. The drip coffee tasted like burnt old beans and even starbucks blows it out of the water. The espresso machine look cheap and a few decades old and produced a weak shot that had to be strained (probably because the machine is that bad). Definitely don’t recommend!

The coffee was good. The bubble tea tasted watered down and the smoothie not what a "fresh" fruit smoothie should be. I've worked in a few different coffee shops and I wouldn't have served what was given. The place is cute and it is a nice to sit and have a cup of coffee. I just wouldn't do the rest of it.

Excellent coffee at an excellent location! The Castillo de San Marcos right from the windows. Also there is a lovely outdoor seating area that is very close to everything with lots of other things going on. This is a great place to people watching a great place to access all other areas of the Old Town of St Augustine.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I would give this no stars if I could...
This place is extremely unprofessional. My husband and I came to St. Augustine on vacation, and one day we walked by while it was opened, so we made a note to try it out because it looked really cool.
Three different times after, we checked Google (because they don’t have a website), and it said they were opened. We walked there and all three times they were closed with no sign. And no shop hours are posted. They simply open and close when they feel like it and customers just have to guess.
When we finally decided to try it out, despite the terrible reviews, I asked for an iced toasted coconut latte (which was on one of the many menus displayed). The words barely finished leaving my mouth before the worker (thin young man with black curly hair and facial hair) rudely replied, “I can’t do that. I can only do flavors you see here,” and pointed to flavors sitting on a shelf above the ordering counter.
At that point, his sour attitude and lack of manners made me decide not to get anything. After looking a bit longer, my husband then asked again, “So you can only make drinks with these flavors?” And he responded VERY rudely, “YES,” with a tone like “I just said that.”
The checkout process was unbearable for me at this point because I could tell my husband was also agitated. This guy had THE worst attitude, showed no people skills or customer service experience, and had no manners. Maybe he was having a bad day, but if the situation were flipped and a customer came in acting like that, it would be just as bad! I almost grabbed my husband’s arm and walked out before ordering. The drink was over $5 and it was about the same size as a TALL at Starbucks. Not to mention it was mediocre at the least.
The little shack that the shop is in is kinda cool and unique, but I would NOT suggest spending your money there. St. Augustine has SO many other coffee shops to offer that I’d suggest visiting over this awful place.

We tried this coffee shop for the first time today. Its a really really cute little place with a beautiful garden to sit in and enjoy your coffee. The barista was friendly and answered all my questions, they have a pretty large list of drinks. I finally decided to go with the spotted owl latte and it was absolutely delicious. I am a coffee addict and this one definitely hit the spot. Way better than starbucks. My family had a few of drinks and all were satisfied as well. We will definitely be coming back.
