Update: We go here every time we are in the area. It is truely a treat.
Some of the best coffee in St. Augustine for me! I went several times while on vacation and wish they were closer to me for a daily visit.

Went there today because I heard they had good key lime pie. Just a heads up, the guy working there was really rude. I was completely taken aback by how condescending he was to me. I tried to be nice and friendly, but he was not having it. I was in shock with his rudeness, which totally spoiled the vibe. What a shame, because this place is really cute. I’m not the only one who experienced this, several others observed the same rude behavior.

I absolutely loved this place! I was with my girlfriend on vacation in September of 2015, walking around town in dire need of some coffee. We came across a restaurant and a server there recommended Crucial as she noticed I was very picky on what I wanted. At first glance, people may think and see a run down old house but for me it was different. I knew I was in for a treat and I wasn't wrong at all. It was serene with loads of cute things all over the walls and the coffee was great! The barista on the other hand wasn't too friendly nor did it seem like he enjoyed his job.

Kyle is super helpful and super friendly. We really enjoyed talking to him while getting our coffee. He made my wife’s iced latte exactly the way she likes it! Thanks Kyle.

Extremely quaint and cozy little cottage. Atmosphere is very historic. Coffee had beautiful presentation and tasted fabulous. Perfect little spot to relax and have an amazing cup of coffee. Highly recommended!

Have come to this place several times in the past while on vacation and even chatted with the owner. This time, we noticed all the profanity, religiously offensive and crude anti-trump magnets around the counter. I guess somehow we missed that before. Very inappropriate and had to walk the children right out of there. Unfortunately, won't be coming back. Cute place, decent ice cream but sad the owner doesn't care about offending customers.

I have been coming to this cafe for about three years. Every time I am in town.
Today sadly I had a really bad experience.
I went into the corner cafe and tried ordering breakfast items and beverages, they told me that for any food items I needed to go next door and order there because their printing system was down, to which I agreed and processed to go next door to order food and beverages because they said it was easier to order all items together, while my companions stayed back saving the table so we could eat there.
When I went next door the waitresses kept trying to make me sit without listening to what I was saying, until I said "please listen I want to order here to eat at the cafe", then when I was finally giving them my order they said "Oh no we don't carry any of those breakfast items, that menu is not offered" which I don't understand why they would have it on display but I just asked for a menu and went back to get everyone's pick. I went back to the restaurant and waited for them to take my order, after about 5 minutes the manager Patrick noticed we weren't being taken care of, but for some reason he thought the best way to approach us was to just say "what do you want" So I went on to explain the whole ordeal and he said " for here or to go?" and I said "well, its for here but we are seated next door, is that ok?" and he said "for here or to go?" and I looked at him and said "I mean I guess for here" and he said again and in a very aggressive tone " for here or to go?" to which I just said for here and proceeded to order, once I was done I started giving them my beverage picks and then he just said "we don't do that, here is just mimosas go back there for that".
I really didn't feel like fighting this rude man so I simply said thank you made sure my order was right and proceeded to go back to the cafe for my beverages.
after a good 30min we were still waiting for our food, so one of my companions proceeded to go check, and they said in about 10 more minutes.
We waited those 10 more minutes and nothing. At that point we were done drinking our coffees and very hungry, so we ended up having to leave without getting our food.
The cafe is a lovely landmark of St.Augustine, and I won't stop going there for coffee, but nothing else. Terrible service at that restaurant. Can't tell you if the food was good or not... because I never got mine.

Crucial Coffee has been one of the original coffee shops to visit. Despite every storm, this little wooden shack still stands downtown. It's a small shop, but it has a comfortable, hometown feel with ample seating outside in the garden.
They sell coffee beans as well.

I'm at a loss with this coffee shop. We've tried to purchase coffee - twice - and have never actually been served.
The first time we were told it would be ten minutes, then ten minutes more, as we watched two servers count their cash drawers well into being open. They seemed perturbed and inconvenienced. We left after it began to rain and they were still counting.
Thinking maybe the first time was an anomaly, we went a second time - and were told the same thing nearly forty minutes into being open. There will not be a third attempt.
It's bewildering to see such a strong level of customer discouragement. I don't know how their coffee is, but this establishment is not worthy of your business.

I ordered a hot cocoa for my son as a treat for being great all day and the guy made the most delicious hot cocoa I had ever tasted that I almost didn't want to give it up!! It was pretty and decorated and the perfect temp for my 4 year old beast :)
