Banana River Cafe

What an experience in such a cute local place. Great breakfast and heard the lunch is as good as the breakfast. Ordered the Bananas Foster and the Bacon salted caramel french toast. Yummy.

Found this spot after doing a Google search for breakfast restaurants.. the menu and everything looked amazing online. .. As with everything else I've driven by this place I don't know how many times! A nice little diner in a plaza with a bagel shop and a few other stores. When we arrived they weren't very busy it took a few minutes for the server to get our drink orders to be honest the server was probably a friend of the family's or very new.. asking her for a recommendation she just drugged the special of the day was the lemon blueberry risotto pancakes after asking her about it she said that it they've been very popular and looked very good so we ordered that as well as the stuff French toast and a side of biscuits and gravy. For the drinks we had coffee sweet tea and water the coffee was very strong seem kind of old and it took our server some time to find cream as all they had on the tables was flavored. After about 15 minutes and asking two other servers for creamer milk our server brought over a cup of milk the coffee.. it seem to take some time for order to arrive but definitely worth the wait! The lemon risotto blueberry pancakes were amazing and the stuff French toast was out of this world.. The biscuits and gravy was good but had a bit of a mystery meat in it I want to say it was baloney but my companion disagrees.. the food was amazing the service was absolutely under par you would think a little family-owned restaurant the servers would be a little more engaging as in checking on the table refilling the drinks just overall customer service which this visit lacked. Would definitely be back but definitely recommend it to anybody..

Wonderful breakfest with friendly staff.
It has a great atmosphere and in general a very cozy and relaxing place to eat. The food is brilliant. Try the special smoothy. Yummy!

Have been here twice so far. The food is superb and the staff is friendly but not overbearing. Very relaxed atmosphere and a good sit down and quiet conversation place. A perfect out of way place for one to four people to relax and just enjoy the food.

Fun little place with amazing food at reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

I was looking for a good breakfast place near Satellite Beach, as I had some items to buy at one of the big box home stores. I hadn't heard of The Banana River Cafe, and it looked promising due to its high rating. I pulled into the parking lot and noticed a bagel shop directly next to it. I contemplated going there and just ordering a simple bacon, egg and cheese bagel, but I opted to visit the Banana River Cafe.

My choice was mainly driven by a hankering for a breakfast burrito. The menu description read well, as it had eggs, chorizo, cheese, etc., and I chose grits as the side. Home fry potatoes or tomatoes were the other options.

The meal arrived quickly, and I could tell it wasn't going to be to my liking. There was simply too much sausage, and while some like that, I prefer a balance of the main ingredients, which this burrito didn't have. The other issue was the overall taste, as there really wasn't anything that stood out. For example, the sausage itself was quite bland. I normally expect a chorizo sausage to have some bite, as some heat is usually expected with a burrito.

I may return to try something else, as the staff was helpful, attentive and the restaurant was clean. I'll just try something else.

I meet a group of friends here every week. We sit and drink coffee for a while before ordering. They are patient with us and keep the coffee coming. This is just a great local spot for breakfast with good food and fair prices

Gourmet food at affordable prices. Everything on the menu is a treat. Come once and you will be a regular.
