I hadn't been here in 20 years. The omelet was as good as ever. Highly recommend

Never met an owner so passionate about his 1945 historic eatery than John Coffee. He was not only passion about this historic restaurant but also extremely passionate about his employees and incredibly passionate about the food he serves to his guests. I highly recommend this as a must stop for anyone passing through or living in Pensacola Florida for breakfast and lunch. The attention that he gave us and all patrons that came to the Coffee Cup was incredible. The food was fantastic and we are definitely going to be back before our trip is over!!! Thank you John and Staff for making our first visit to Pensacola a great one! The Stevens from Syracuse, NY

It's been around for forever so I figured I'd give it a try. Lack-luster and bland in my opinion, and the omelette was flavorless a grease sponge. My daughter had waffles and bacon which she liked. I had shrimp and grits rather than the menus fish n grits, and had I been given the option to have cheese grits ( I thought it would come that way) I think it would have been better. Whatever sauce they put in the shrimp and grits was the only thing that really stood out to me about the whole order. I understand they were busy due to it being a Sunday morning, but I felt rushed while giving my order over the phone and while cashing out.

Great food! A solid, old fashioned diner with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Make sure to sit at the counter and watch Robert master that grill!

Love it. From the outside it looks like a "Fake Hipster Diner" once I got in the door I knew it was the real thing. Grill right bjehind the counter. Simple tables and chairs. Nice old man behind the register. (old like me old)
Line cook with an attitude while being caring and professional. Helped me order without looking at a menu! Thanks for that!! I hate looking at menu's.
I love greasy starch cheese meat fried cheese starch meat cheese and this place hit the mark. New fav when on this side of town. Comparable to CJ's, more gritty and I like gritty! Jacky Thornton don't give one stare cause they were not open when u wanted them to be. They probably didn't seat you cause of your attitude. I came in at about 1:30 and "asked" if they could serve me and they were very pleasant😀

This Coffee Cup does a wonderful job treating each and every customer that comes in to eat a wonderful breakfast or lunch. Each customer gets treated with respect and professionalism. The staff are very friendly and very courteous. The food and the service is wonderful. Also the history of the Coffee Cup is just enough to make you want to go in and eat and see where the Coffee Cup has come from over the years. From dirt roads in front of the Coffee Cup to the road you see today. If you want good times and good fun you go and eat at the Coffee Cup hands down. So after reading this you should plan on taking the family or coworkers there to be totally satisfied with a great experience to remember. Believe me after you eat there once you will remember to go back to the Coffee cup.

My partner and I are new to the area and decided to stop in here for breakfast. The whole place has such a great, welcoming energy. The staff were all very kind and took great care of us (thank you Kim!). I've been a bit homesick lately and the biscuits and gravy nearly had me in tears because they tasted so much like home. I really loved eating here and fully intend to come back ASAP.

It's always fun, there was this server there, she was nice.

This is by far one of the best places to get breakfast in Pensacola, the biscuits and gravy are off the chain as well as the French toast! The owner is super cool and is always checking on customers to make sure it’s the best experience possible! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable of everything on the menu! The French toast is another great one we usually order with fruit and whipped cream on top! There is usually a wait line to get in but we always end up getting way faster then we would think!! I would recommend everyone to try it out!!
