This place is awesome. Unique atmosphere. A must stop if in the area. Food was good but service and atmosphere were my highlight.

Fabulous hole in the wall with history! Special blacked Mahi tacos were delicious! Nothing fancy just cool!

What a place! You would probably never stop by if you didn't know it but it's worth the time. It's a bit goofy. The owner is a riot. Expect a very energetic greeting. The food is great. Check out the art work in the bathrooms. (NSFW or kids..)

Highly recommend frog legs.
The waitress Lisa is the best!

I am Hispanic Didn't feel welcomed , weird looks from the fat cashier lady , and black cook and servers. They act like they never seen Hispanic.

Definitely an experience you need to have. What a great time we had with our server.

This restaurant is an absolute treasure of Florida swamp culture! The moment you step through the doors you are whisked back in time to an era before air conditioning or fountain drinks, when killing big snakes in the back yard and using their skin was commonplace, where gators are eaten because they are tasty nuisances, and where the people boisterous and kind.

We went with our kids, and it's a very kid friendly place. Our waitress showed my kids the python skin cover on her order book, and a picture of the 15 foot python it came from, draped around her guy's neck! Pythons are an invasive species here, so they need to go. My kids worked on their Jr. Ranger activities that we got from the visitor center just down the road and they really enjoyed eating the gator bites. The frog legs were not their favorite, but the pictures I got were hilarious and made it absolutely worth ordering!

One thing to be very clear about is that the food here is FRIED. I think the only things that aren't fried are the soup (with whole crab staring out at you) and the key lime pie. Now the pie itself is worth the entire trip out here. If you like fresh, posh, and refined, the main menu and the decor might not be for you, but come anyway for the pie!

Overall 5/5 stars, this is an EXPERIENCE you don't want to miss!

Rustic, off the side of the road. It's easy to find but way out of the way and well with the trip! Server was super friendly and helpful. Food was outstanding. More of a southern style. The fried green tomatoes and not sure what they called it, but on the appetizer menu, a flat bread with the best slightly sweet pickled vegetable chutney like spread, was my favorite. A must stop place! Outside seating available.
