You'll love Joanie's... Lisa, my server, was the best... I had to try Gator for my first time ever, I'm not big on fried foods and it was the only option, but it was quite good... Between the Gator, fries and hush puppy it was more than I could eat... Check out all the post cards sent by happy customers hanging all over the rafters and walls, as well as photos, artwork and news hanging up... Lot of history in this old place... Well worth the stop as you head across Route 41 in Big Cypress...

If you’re traveling 41 across the Everglades you need to stop! Lisa is a hoot, the vibe and atmosphere are Old Florida. Ordered the Swamp Basket - Gator, Frog legs, crab cake and fries outstanding

A casual place with good service. The food was good, not great. We had fried grouper and fries. The outdoor seating gave a good view. It is a weathered local spot.

Old Florida style dinner right off US 41. Great food, great service and awesome atmosphere. I would definitely make it a stop if you are passing through.

Love the restaurant vibe! Staff is extremely friendly and food was excellent. Great place to eat if you're doing an air boat tour!

Good little side of the road place. Only one server doing it all, excellent service and no wait at all to sit down for lunch. Grab a beer and take a seat out on the porch. Menu is as expected for the area, great stop after a tour or exploring Big Cypress.

Small stop on our way to see the sunset. Great food, the service was unique, friendly, and very welcoming. Can't wait to pass by again! Don't forget to have some keylime pie for the road!

Took a group of my buddies out for a birthday lunch, we decided Joanie‘s was the perfect spot. Absolutely fantastic food and one in eclectic little place, especially the men’s room……😂
