Great spot on a bit isolated road. Terrific shrimp
But a tad high on price for portion.

BEWARE
Owned by a very rude old woman, I had just stopped outside the cafe but wondered why it was so desolate as I was reading the signs it said closed but yelp said it opened at 10Am so we decided to wait 10 minutes for it to open.. there was nobody in the parking lot till this old women arrived claiming This was not a stop for me to be park that way so I apologized and parked my car correctly, after that she came close to my vehicle with an attitude claiming this was her property and to get out of it SCREAMING at me through my car window... seriously? I replied to her by saying that I was just waiting for the place to open at 10 am, since we needed to get some food. She didn't care and kicked us out of the property. Crazy rude old lady, serious mental problems. My dad was hungry and thats why we stopped there but never again. How miserable can a person be to act this way. I feel bad for her but after reading all the bad reviews and how some people have been mistreated, and food being OVERPRICED. Would NOT recommend to come here AT ALL. We took our money to a nice welcoming place down the road. Never again.

Great throwback atmosphere. Love the outdoor screened porch. Excellent she crab soup. Grouper was tasty but a bit overcooked. Very good, crispy fries. Beers were cold! And u can take them for a walk out back to the stream.

Fun. Our server was sweet, funny and so hospitable. We sat on the rickety screened porch and nibbled on frog legs, alligator bites, and fried green tomatoes. The homemade sangria was amazing. This old place isn't for the rich folks. It is rundown, but cheerful. Like visiting an aunt down south whose greatest pleasure is feeding folks.

Been here every time I’ve been to south Florida worth a 2 hour drive from Miami just to check this place out

Wasn't expecting much in the middle of The Everglades, but had a really fun experience and our server made the most with what he had. Appreciated his Key Lime pie offer for our wait.

Joanie's is a fun place to eat. We sat on the back porch that had views of a canal next to the Everglades. The place is full of interesting memorabilia, particularly in the men's room (I'll let you find out for youselves). You help yourself to your drunks from the cooler, so no waiting is necessary. The food is good. This picture is of the crab soup. Yes, that is half a crab on top, though little crab was left since it was cooked in the soup. Joanie's is about 30 miles east of Naples on US 41 in Ochopee.

Lisa was our server, she is awesome. Great food, fun atmosphere, so relaxing. Will be back again. Traveled to FL from Pennsylvania & the best blue crabs I ever had.

Stopped in for lunch today. Superb, casual atmosphere! Fun, efficient staff. I had the crabcakes, my wife had the blackened chicken. Both were delicious! We finished it off with a piece of key lime pie. 5 stars! Don’t miss this gem!

Stopped in on the way back from Shark Valley and we were very happy! Small, "dive" location with good fried food and a pleasant atmosphere.
