Great atmosphere, location, and place for locals to connect, but most of the staff is rude, and they’re not very welcoming to new people. It’s as if you have to be in their “clique” in order to be treated nicely. There’s only two people out of the staff that I’ve personally met there that are actually super friendly. Both guys, one has dark brown curly hair and a beard, the other has very short brown hair, but they don’t seem to work often. The drinks are really good, but the other kava bars in the area are better, merely because the personalities of the staff are more welcoming.

This place strongly needs to work on their customer service. How rude of a bartender can you find? Try this place. Some young kid probably his first gig. I literally left my drink and walked right out the door.

This is my first time visiting here, and I have been to a few other kava bars in the area. The setting is great and the drinks are very good, but my biggest issue with this bar is that there are tons of children running around, skateboarding, etc. Most kava bars keep an 18+ policy. This one does not seem to enforce it and seems more like a daycare.

Amazing staff and regulars, great location on the beach. I've tried other Kava bars and they stunk! The owner here is an amazing person..very handsome and mysterious. This is a welcoming, fun place to visit.

Nice place, I've struggled with alcoholism and they dont serve alcohol or illegal drugs. Nice people, good herbal drinks, reasonably priced. At 7 mos sober this place has helped me socialize in a sober setting. It is clean and very well managed.

BULA BELONGS TO FIJI!
"Bula" is a sacred Fijian word. Ross Kashtan, an old white man who's never been to Fiji, owns the international copyright for the word. He refuses to give it up despite protests by the Fijian government and the Fijian people.
FREE FIJI! FREE BULA!
EDIT:
Bula belongs to Fiji, brother.
You own an INTERNATIONAL TRADEMARK not just the US. Don't lie!
Try and Trademark the word Hola and see what happens.
Release the trademark and end neocolonialism!

It is very interesting place. People do smoke there and bring dogs. Best time is morning, not crowded. You should know what you are doing when you order botanical tea or kava. I did not feel well after, I would not drive if I drink it. Just do your research, if you never had it before. It's not your regular coffee shop! You might like the atmosphere there!

Yesterday was my first time at this location. The people were super friendly, including the customers. The product is super strong. I actually got sick but that's my own fault. Had too many haha. The patio is fabulous. I loved all of it.

This place has turned into such a gem on the beach. The past year bula has invested in an open free pool table, PS4 and games on the inside, a Nintendo switch attached to the main bar tv outside for smash tournaments on Tuesday nights. New couches, new chairs, new fans, a great ping pong table!!!!! It's such a great place to catch some FUN. I always have a good time. Love the vibes and the tribe. Bula is beyond super warm and welcoming. Ashley,Tim and Michael really keep the place together.
