Good coffee at excellent prices. Indoor and outdoor seating make this place a nice break from the beach.
Kava was just as potent as if you were sitting in a village in Fiji.
Would be 5 stars, but always confused where to order - whether indoors or outdoors. Nice staff.

So I ran in to an old school Bula Kafe guy the other day, hadn't seen him in years. We were talking and he mentions he doesn't often get to kava bars much anymore because of the distance, he said he used to visit Bula on the Beach. So I asked why doesn't he visit BOB anymore. He said the kava makes him sick.
Well my friend I think I know why.
They barely strain their kava, I'll leave you to speculate why.
Here is the evidence
2 doubles total 16oz
3.9+ g of material left unstrained.
That's a great eay way to get stomach aches.
I am hoping this is a one time thing but from what I was hearing it certainly does not other seem to be.
But to be fair after I strained it seemed alright.
Hit me back I'm more than willing to hear you out.
Thank you,
Long time member of the kava community

Great Kava, coffee, and tea. Chill atmosphere. Depending when you go there will be very different crowds.

August 18th, 2017 - Ross Kashtan went to WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) and registered INTERNATIONAL ownership of the word "BULA" for "Bar services featuring wine, beer, sake, juice, KAVA; Cafés; Coffee and juice bar services"
Bula is a Fijian word that has many meanings and many uses. It's primarily used as a greeting. Kava is grown in Fiji, and is considered sacred to them. The word "Bula" is tied to the use of kava.
Ross Kashtan (who has never been to Fiji) owns the word Bula internationally, and no other business can use it to sell Kava - Fijians included.
The Fijian people have made petitions to Ross Kashtan, asking him to release his control over the word. The Fijian government has tried to get the word legally transferred back to Fijian ownership. 5 years later, and Ross Kashtan still holds the copyrights to the word BULA. This is a clear case of NeoColonialism at work.
Please help spread awareness of the issue, and help Fiji get their language back!

We were going through town so we stopped for a latte before we headed across the street to walk the beach. The coffee was amazing. I did a coconut/white chocolate latte. Thanks for the coffee friends!

Great staff, beautiful atmosphere, great variety of drinks and cool games to play. The best part is going to see the sunset or a nice nightly stroll on the beach. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed Bula on the Beach. Very nice place with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The staff is super nice and knowledgeable. It is a nice break from all the bars filled with drunk people, Also a great place to bring your dogs and kids. This place does get busy during the evening, but they will take care of you!

Cool staff. Super chill relaxing place to sip a nice coffee or kumbucha. Beautiful patio. Chill music. Down to earth scene with people who really care about the planet. They use the good compostable straws that don't fall apart like the paper ones.

This place is a lil slice of paradise, I love trivia nights on Wednesday. I'll always bring new friends!

Because the owners, this place deserves zero stars.
I started drinking kava in Hawaii years ago, and it was all peace and love.
At this place, the Kavatender was just plain rude and then the owners are even more rude…
One day I hope you embody what it means to drink kava to create a community and bring people together.
