Kahwa Coffee

Admittedly, I'm a coffee nerd. I love great coffee and I love great coffee shops.

I was in Bradenton this week, visiting from Nashville, and had coffee every morning at Kahwa Coffee (Lakewood Ranch). The latte was fantastic and the staff - every member - was friendly and caring. That's leadership, to me. Hiring the right people, teaching them how to make good coffee, and creating an environment where they can be themselves and and have positive interactions with each other and customers.

Honestly, the vibe in the shop was fantastic. I watched, each day, as the baristas greeted regulars with a smile and made visitors, like me, feel welcome. The staff were like a happy family. Just a fantastic, 5-star experience.

Bravo, Kahwa Coffee. I can't wait to visit Bradenton again and have coffee at the shop.

I used to LOVE to come here to get my Matcha tea latte almost every morning. The past few times I had to return my drink because it was milk with barely any Matcha. The first time they took it back and gave me a new one and a coupon for a free drink. But the next two times, the same thing happened and the staff was rude about it and just took the drink back and put more matches in it without even apologizing. I'm not expecting a free drink every time this happens but I also don't expect them to be rude when I ask for something that I paid for. I'm not going to pay $5 for just milk. Also every single time I've gone in the past two months they are out of sweet scones, or something else. Really sad because I use to love the matcha latte there. Honestly don't waste your time and go straight to Starbucks.

Service is great, this place is a really cozy cafeteria. The coffee is nice and the waffles are really good. Nice place to go for a reading or just working in the computer

I ordered a hot coffee and it came lukewarm. I asked what the deal was they said that’s normal temp for coffee.

Decent coffee when the only other option is Starbucks, but after many times in the store, I’ve grown incredibly uncomfortable with the leadership. For starters, starting your employees at only 9 dollars an hour with no benefits (per the job listings) is unacceptable. Second, every time I am in the store, the manager is yelling or berating her employees. It’s uncomfortable and off putting to have management screaming at employees who are genuinely doing their best and connecting with customers. It also makes trying to get any work done impossible. My fiancée was in this morning, and watched the manager chew her only employee that showed up out for mixing up a drink order. Good for those employees who didn’t show up. I hope they find better employment. No coffee, no matter how good it is, is worth the emotions and well-being of the baristas. And to be honest, the coffee isn’t that great.

Coffee tasted great. They actually gave me a spoon to use. The service was really good. Really appreciate them making my day.

My wife and I loved this place! It was out first time visiting this store and the staff made our day. They were so friendly and made us feel welcomed. Even though they are short staffed, they make amazing nitro cold brews and drip coffee. Thanks for the amazing experience guys :)

Not great coffee and few pastry options that were not fresh. They have board games though!
