Had dinner here last night. The Caesar salad and chicken n rice were good. We bought 2 $3 cupcakes and some strawberry short cake 5.49 to go. They really were not that good for the price. Our bill was approximately $43 plus tip. The waitresses were absolute dolls. I would go again minus the desserts.

I’ve have visited on two occasions. Once for dinner and once for breakfast. For dinner, it was a party of 4. It wasn’t busy, only 3 other tables with customers. Besides sandwiches, there was only 2-3 choices for dinner. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, my wife ordered the chicken and dumplings. The other couple ordered the pulled pork sandwich and chicken fingers. After what seemed like a long time our food arrived. The meatloaf had excellent flavor. BUT, it was lukewarm at best. The mashed potatoes was a serving the size of a single ice cream scoop and it was also cool. My wife’s dinner while good tasting was also disappointing regarding amount of chicken and not being hot. Our friend’s chicken fingers came with only 4 pieces. Again, good flavor, but not hot.
I figured it might have been an “off” night. Went back a few days later for breakfast. We were the second table to be seated. Ordered a typical breakfast, nothing special. Took a long time to get the food, and once again, tasted good, but barely warm.
I really hope they succeed. There is loads of potential, but the owner needs to get it together.

Short Cakes has moved to the Labelle airport terminal and has indoor dining but the food is still great. I recently had their smoked pulled pork sandwich and fries and both were great especially their house made barbecue sauce. My wife had their Wednesday special chicken and dumplings and really liked it. Good food, good service give them a try.

My wife and son had the hamburger. I had the chef salad with a side of potato soup in a cup(yum). Everything was fresh and delicious. We had Mia as our waitress, she's super sweet. Made our experience that much better. The new location with the view of the airport was amazing!

Great little hidden gem! Found this place by googling breakfast and lunch places and it popped up. It is inside the LaBelle airport. Great meals, nice decor! Reasonable prices. My husband and I had the breakfast quesadillas and they were excellent!
