Called Franke Coffee they put us in touch with Jaguar Coffee. First trip to repair our coffee machine was only a diagnosis. I had already done diagnosis with franke tech and provided Jaguar with the parts that we needed. They seem to have alot of trouble with their phone system no answer or reply after 2 day of reaching out. After 6 weeks of waiting I finally got in touch with Sam or Karen or some female receptionist she said they had canceled our work order ( never contacted us } but it was due to the great coffee machine breakdown pandemic and that we had waisted our money for the first diagnosis. and to have a nice day. "click" dial tone Must be having trouble with their phones again. Please seek help Karen.
We found this company online while looking for an repair tech for our Astoria expresso machine. Company sent out a tech that said we needed a new thermostat, even though the issue was the pressure. We didn't question the diagnosis as we thought he knew what he was doing. Since they don't work on our brand of machine very often, the part would need to be ordered and that process took about 2 weeks. So far, no problem. A different tech came out to do the repair and replaced the thermostat but still no pressure. He seemed to know right away that it was an issue with either the pump or pump bearing. This after replacing a thermostat that was probably good. Amazingly, he happened to have these parts in his van, what are the odds... The first visit cost $135 for the drive and diagnosis. The repair costs with the all the parts the machine needed was going to cost was over $900. Had we known this with the first visit, we wouldn't have wasted the time on waiting for a part we didn't need. Over 3 weeks wasted on a bad diagnosis. To their credit, they didn't insist on charging another service call, which i wouldn't have paid anyways. Like so many "service techs" they take the shotgun approach to machine repair, at least in this case. They may do good on bean roast but find another repair option. The fact that they had the part needed in the van on trip 2 really is amazing.
