By far one of the most beautiful coffee shops I’ve been in. Coffee is on point. Pastries are always fresh and the staff is so friendly. Really a heartwarming environment to be in. Highly recommend to anyone in the area
Espresso59 is exactly what Litchfield center needed! They did an amazing job of taking an empty building and revamping it like new. It is truly beautiful inside. Everything is made fresh by the owners, and because of that, so delicious. We've tried pretty much everything there, but are looking forward to gelato next time we visit. Congrats on the new place!
Loved this sweet little cafe -- the coffee was really good and the cannoli was the best ever! The shop is filled with nostalgic items, the cases have a great selection of desserts and other items and the staff are warm and friendly. Great addition to Litchfield center!
The man behind the counter asked me if I had ever had a sfogliatelle and as a full-blooded second generation italian american I looked at him sideways. He insisted that I try one, which I did, and I can wholeheartedly say it was the best I've ever had. Full stop. The pastry itself was incredibly fresh especially considering I was there after 6pm. The outer shell was perfectly crispy and light yet substantial and the filling was incredible. Still having the traditional flavor the filling had a wonderfully delightful whipped and creamy consistency as opposed to the semi soft custard I am accustomed to. It was spectacular. Thoroughly impressed with the pastries and the store itself is beautiful.
This new place recently opened as one of the few Litchfield county espresso shops. There are a few coffee places around but none of them are great. Thankfully this one is really good, and the baked goods are also fantastic.
This 5 star review is not only for the cafe and my parents who have been working so diligently to create a beautiful and delicious space, but also on behalf of the cafe and my parents. 5 stars to all of our wonderful customers! We are awaiting our Google verification and are unable to respond to reviews until it comes through. We see them all and very much appreciate all the kind words! The Town of Litchfield and all of its residents and beyond have been so incredibly welcoming and we are honored to be part of your community. One million thank yous!
I'd love to take a minute to address the heartfelt 1 star review we received as well. When you're right, you're right! We shared your frustration of our downed espresso machine on Sunday. After only a week of operation the heating element went, and with it being the weekend no tech was able to come help. Never fear, it will be fixed next week! Luckily, we offer a variety of hot and iced coffee, cold brew, a variety of hot and iced tea including masala chai, a cooler full of imported Italian sodas, kombucha and more. We even brewed a special extra, extra dark coffee to use as a substitute for affogato, free of charge! You mentioned we weren't wearing masks.. right again. We, like the rest of the state of Connecticut, are no longer wearing masks. We strongly encourage anyone who feels more comfortable in a mask to wear one. Should you feel even more comfortable calling for curbside delivery we would be happy to mask up and bring your order to your car. Wear your mask as long and as often as you'd like! It's your preference. Treats on top of the case? Correct again! Though 99% of our food is inside the case and behind glass, we did have a few free samples sitting on top of the case of Sunday. We love to share our creations with you guys! Much like with the mask wearing, if you are uncomfortable taking a free sample, just don't! I am, however, still stumped by your first bullet point, stale pastries. Our pastry case has been completely wiped out daily due to the sheer volume of support we've received! We make everything fresh daily (we have to!) Perhaps you tried a biscotti, pizelle, or other crunchy Italian cookie meant to be dunked in coffee you were unfamiliar with. We know trying new things can sometimes be scary, but variety is the spice of life! Dive right it! Grazie!
Well I visited this place and have to say absolutely outstanding!!! The Espresso was excellent and the pastry was to die for!!! Great service very friendly staff!!! Absolutely will be back again and anyone who has not been there yet it's a must try!!!
Why is this listed on your menu as masala chai? This is just tea bags in water, why would you change 5$ for this and list dairy alternatives on the menu if there is no dairy in it?? I was ignored completely by the two barista, they helped the people in front of me and then skipped me to help the couple behind me. When they realized I was and I offered to let the couple behind me check out since they already had what they were getting, the didn’t apologize at all. The pastries are good but I don’t see myself coming back here after a really upsetting visit.
