Awesome local coffee shop in Salida

One of the only shops in salida that has made me feel welcome. This town is so stuck up. But not these guys, My husband and I really enjoyed their coffee and I enjoyed a delicious FAT piece of gluten free chocolate chip pumpkin bread. Glad they had gluten free options. They were able to accommodate a half caf cappuccino and a plain latte with almond milk flawlessly. To those complaining about the price, go back to Starbucks with your ungrateful selves. This is premium local brew and of course dairy alternatives are an upcharge. Will be returning every time I am in town and looking for a caffeine rush.

Great coffee and atmosphere, and their ice cream is delicious!

They are always incredibly friendly, when I go in. Their coffee is made either sweet or how ever you like it. They always have amazing flavors for lattes or cappuccinos. If you're downtown, don't forget to go, to this amazing coffee house.

This is a cute little coffee shop with great coffee and a WONDERFUL chorizo breakfast burrito. It's right in the heart of Salida and just steps away from the Arkansas River so you can go out and enjoy your meal in the gorgeous scenery!

Great atmosphere coffee is made in house. Go for the coffee stay for the conversations.

Worst cappuccino ever. Got a double and received the size of a small, and on top of that, it was less than half with actual liquid. Tasteless! The staff even doesn’t say “hello” and just by adding almond milk the price went up by $1.50. Not a great quality, avoid it

Revised review- sometimes it’s good to give, well, maybe fourth chances. My previous review is below but due to brown dog’s afternoon hours when steam caboose is closed, I’ve recently been back a few more times with much better service. Have had a couple of excellent, hot Mexican mochas with great service in the afternoons. Very happy I went back. Is the afternoon woman with dark hair the owner? Whoever she is, she is a great barista. 2stars before and up to 4 now. Thank you.

Previous review - Good coffee if you can get it hot, which is always an issue. I like the atmosphere but the young barista is rude and always serves tepid lattes. Hate to say it but meh.

LOVE this place. the manager is a stronghold of the place. She's been working since she was ten, and convinced her Mom to buy the business! Now she runs the show. Sandwiches are on point. Coffee always right; and customer service is always genuine no matter which staff member.
