Excellent batch brew coffee (with free refills!). Really enjoyed the breakfast burrito - it's delicious and huge.

This is a good place to get a smooth coffee drink, pop open your laptop, and get working on a personal project. But bring some headphones, because the music might clash uncomfortably with your working mood (ska and mariachi? Lol). Half of the shop has a wealth of natural light, and the other half is much more darkened, feeling like a pub. But hey, maybe you just came here for a drink- so here- I highly recommend the caramel soy latte, which has just the right amount of sweet while still maintaining that deep, smooth coffee taste. Pics below! Oh, and bonus treat- every drink comes with an animal cracker. :D

Good cappuccino (though rather small). It came with an animal cookie that was rather forgettable. The cauliflower was super oily but tastes decent.

The high ceilings and armchairs are nice, and it feels bright and airy.

Great service. Delicious coffee and sandwiches. Loved it!

Chris Mines

Plenty of seating inside and out, and a convenient stop for cyclists going through the area. I had a delicious breakfast sandwich that looked like it had a homemade bun. Everything was perfect.

Food and drink was good and prices were fair. A very nice stone patio created a very pleasant ambiance. Location was less chaotic than others nearby.

I’m having a hard time buying the low star reviews.

Such a cool place! Bike shop, coffee shop, beer, all in this woodsy open building. This is such an awesome little mountain town. Definitely worth a visit. Your surroundings are so beautiful!

At Salto they make a really good espresso. I also had a slice of banana bread. Epic! If you are in Nederland, you must stop by. They not only serve food and coffee, but you can also tent bikes and ski gear. What more do you want?

Unfortunate, because when I walked in, I was ready to enjoy the atmosphere and the coffee. The counter staff refused to put my drink in a to-go cup, because it's "Not how they recommend you drink it," and "it's ecologically irresponsible." She would be happy to give me a cappuccino to go, but not a cortado. (Somehow the paper cup for the cappuccino isn't wasteful, but one for a cortado is?) Lost a sale and lost a customer.
